Walk away, everyone. Don't let this become a bigger issue than it really is.

Don't let this thread get shut down ... It would be nice to be able to continue to come back and see you September CSC filers progress, because afterall, each one of you that gets approved is one closer to October ;) And honestly, the September folks have more action than the October folks ... hence why I have been "hanging" over here :) (you too Carla? :D )

:ot:

Here's a joke for you ... and a long one... so sorry :)

Husband banned from Target

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from our local Target.

Dear Mrs. Samsel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store... We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Samsel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he would invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but not least:

15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

Honestly I don't think it's fair for you all to get so frustrated with those having interviews. We're all supposed to be here for support and for cheering on, not to get angry. We've still got a member without an NOA2 in our thread and is she angry? Heck no. She cheers everyone on equally. We cheer her on and wish her well every day. We're all a family.

Flame me if you want, but this is honestly not right for you alienate a member just because they are farther along than you.

Well YOU would say that since you are now on your way to having an interview of your own. We are entitled to vent. That person wasn't someone participating on the thread...it was a random person stating information that in NO WAY pertains to the September CSC filers. If I want to tell him I don't want to hear about his bloody interview I can say that. I didn't tell him to get f'd I just told him we don't care.....which the majority of us DON'T! If it were someone who was actively participating in this thread we would totally cheer them on as you can see by the CONGRAT posts after the few of us who HAVE gotten our NOA2.

Sooo HONESTLY if some random person came into your thread and posted a MY WIFE IS HAVING AN INTERVIEW RIGHT NOW post while a good chunk of the people who generally participate on YOUR thread were becoming a little desperate and down in the dumps you would get a little aggitated too...if you say you wouldn't you are lying.

I'm done now...thanks for your cooperation!

well said !!!!

what would I do without the love you give me.

We all knew since the beginning we would have a long waiting time.Being without the one you love is hard, and yes time seems to go even slower.

But seriously..there's no reason to get frustrated about something that small. We shouldn't have started this process in the first place if we have no patience and are jealous. After all,our day will come too.

Blah blah blah. Thanks Dr. Phil for your input :) I'll make sure I pass along those "positive vibes"

whatever...

Everyone, please try to be calm. The last thing we need is for this to escalate and someone report the thread and have a Mod come in take away our "good thing" we have going. It's Friday, those Ba@#%rds at CSC need to get off their hands and get something done. Does anyone have any good news???

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the jokes I have are by far too inappropriate for me to share in the open thread...I could maybe pull a knock knock joke if it would help :)

No, no lame jokes please! :) At this point we need high quality jokes or hard liquor.

I vote for hard liquor.

This question may have been asked before so I apologize for the repeat.

Several people mentioned they see their file has been "touched." Where are you seeing that?

I assume you are using the USCIS web site dashboard.

Thanks

Basically that "touch" refers to the date on the USCIS website that was last updated. So when you log into your account it will have your case number thing and then say "last updated" mine says 09/21/09 when I got filed away into a box! HA! But that's the date you would want to look at for touches :)

Thanks! I get it now. And here's an odd coincidence, we have the same last updated date of 9/21/09. :D So we may also hear something around the same time. B)

I see some people mentioning September 21st as being the last touched date (I am also this date) but wanted to know how many have the same/different date? Just trying to figure some stuff out. :)

My last update is on the day following my NOA1, which if I remember correctly is the day they cashed our cheque (and probably tucked our file in a box).

Well the plan was to go while my children are on break from school so they could stay with my mother while I go. Hopefully being Christmas it won't be super busy. We'll see I guess! John has been here since Halloween. He and I are going back together and then of course I'll have to make the trip back by myself...that sorta sucks but I'm happy that I've gotten the past couple months with him.

I know what you mean about the snow. We got about 15.5 inches here this week. I'm not a fan..I left Iowa, moved to England, and ended up back where I started. I'm glutton for punishment I guess!

That has happened often, I guess the program for calculating adjudication dates uses the most recent NOA2s..but if a couple days go by and no additional approvals are posted, then the date shifts back or stays put. It is more of an estimation, the main problem is that CSC doesn't seems to be doing anything. I wish we had a contact on the "inside" to get some type of updates.

You know if USCIS had a pay for information program...do you know how much money they could make? I am sure many of us would be willing to pay to have our sanity.
