September 2009 Filers! CSC

Yeah, you're right. I was just looking at the USCIS webiste and found the chart that shows how many petitions they received and how many they completed:

For Sep. 09 there were 1994 receipts and 2914 completions (I 129F). If you compare it to the Visa Journey people you see that there are only 80 couples registered with their Noa 1 in September and in September there were about 90 petitions approved. So that's a huge difference compared to the 'real' numbers. And it hopefully means that CSC is working hard on approving many other petitions.

Hmm I just checked out that section of the USCIS website showing the progress of the I-129F's that were filed in Sept. and realize they still have a long way to go. I was happier thinking the people here on Visajourney were the only ones that filed instead of the thousands of couples that actually filed lol. I would be happy to go and help CSC if they need it I'm constantly checking my phone & email more than ever now for updates....sigh..

For the lazy folks who don't want to search:

Log into your account: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

It'll show a table:

Receipt Number | E-mail | Last Updated | (mm/dd/yyyy) | Form # |Form Title

Take a look at the date in the "last updated" box. Then go to "Receipt Number" and check the message. Is it different from the last update you got?

Yes: smile.gif Great! You got an update that changes the status of your case.

No: sad.gif Aw. They have just worked on your case...

Please note that the date on the update notices don't change. For example, if you got a message saying your petition was approved on JUNE 20, 2006, that date will never change. The ones that might change are the ones you get to see at the chart when you log into the account.

It is sad. Mondays are always slow though, so let's hope they make up for it during the rest of the week.

Wouldnt be hard to beat the 2 approvals we got last week.

Seriously, I feel happy buy also guilt that my brothers and sisters are left hanging like this. I wonder what they have going on. I can't believe that they are full steam ahead and just happen to be processing only non-VJ petitions. I am still checking everyday to see who we can congratulate next....stickin' around until everyone from sept. is through...
