September 2009 Filers! CSC

I really don't know why we are not seeing any additional approvals this week...really guys...2 approvals is all you are giving us!?

You have to keep in mind the fact that not everyone who has applied for a visa is a member here. There were probably hundreds of approvals last week, but all we'll know about are the TWO that are members here.

Yeah, you're right. I was just looking at the USCIS webiste and found the chart that shows how many petitions they received and how many they completed:

For Sep. 09 there were 1994 receipts and 2914 completions (I 129F). If you compare it to the Visa Journey people you see that there are only 80 couples registered with their Noa 1 in September and in September there were about 90 petitions approved. So that's a huge difference compared to the 'real' numbers. And it hopefully means that CSC is working hard on approving many other petitions.

At the end of the day it is what it is. We can't MAKE them approve anything. It will happen when they get to it. All the fussing and worrying in the world isn't going to change that. We ALL want to be approved and I'm sure we are all hopefull we will get our NOA2 by the holidays but if we dont...we don't. Just gotta be patient!

hi guys! I'm still waiting for our NOA2 but I'm trying to prepare everything in advance so that there aren't any more delays. I am quite confused about what happens next. There seems to be varying info out there. Are we supposed to send in the forms in Packet 3 before the interview can be scheduled or do we bring all that into the interview? And what is Packet 4??

There is a lot of varying info because it really depends on your embassy/consulate.

JD63 just posted you a link for Juarez that will give you info specific to your case.

You can also look for info in the Regional Subforum and the Mexico Portal page (look for the tab at the top of the page).

The whole stress relief is only for about 24 hours....after you get your NOA2....you start thinking about calling NVC everyday...gosh..this process is going to kill me. I think I should walk away from VJ and this process for a while and just make cookies. Any good recipes?!

Im not a big baker so I dont know any recipes off hand but I like to make oatmeal & chocolate chip cookies from the recipe you find on the Quaker oats box.

Hmm I just checked out that section of the USCIS website showing the progress of the I-129F's that were filed in Sept. and realize they still have a long way to go. I was happier thinking the people here on Visajourney were the only ones that filed instead of the thousands of couples that actually filed lol. I would be happy to go and help CSC if they need it I'm constantly checking my phone & email more than ever now for updates....sigh..
