ok wee i dont know if this is good news for us or bad news ......but i read in another post where a couple called for their interview appointment and the earliest date she could get was january 5th and she called them on 11/28 ......so do you think my hopes of having her here next month will be realistic?

If you get NOA2 soon, and get through NVC quickly it COULD happen.. depending on how quickly you get the info to the consulate and they can schedule your interview.

Not to be negative, but with the upcoming holiday I don't think it would happen unless you got NOA2 this week and got through NVC, etc. by the end of next week. I could be wrong though.

I would say you would be cutting that awful close. You haven't received your NOA2 yet...That file still has to go to NVC after it's approved here and then on to the embassy and all that. I suppose it's possible she could be here by the end of Jan but not to burst your bubble you really need to have realistic expectations here otherwise you are just looking at being disappointed.

I think I just peed my pants while driving home....I just got a text message from USCIS....woohoo!!!!! NOA2!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks so much! I can hardly type I am so happy. I checked the USCIS website every 20 minutes today....so terrible. At 7pm I knew they must be closed so i gave up for the day and left work. And then BAM! My phone goes off..hahaha

I would be surprised if you didnt have your NOA2 by christmas, seeing as you are more towards the beginning of the month.

Not to be a downer worrywart, but after reading about the guy who got denied at POE in the Canadian forum, I wont be letting my guards down until I have crossed that border.

It's a wand? Wow, they have a rfid tag or something?

I dont how it works and if it's RF, but they scan the barcode on the file with a wand.

Yeah...central time. I am guessing that the adjudicator may have multiple files that are finished and then does "the magic" just before quitting time. Pure speculation, but who knows! :)
