ohh and jkminney I'd love some fresh baked goods!!! LOL... maybe when we're all in the US we'll get together and have bake sales for the CSC medical marijuana fund.... we can help others who apply after us not have to go through the wait like we did... we'll just make all the adjusters high and give em a stamp that says approved and for every puff they have to approve one application...

seriously I think we could do some good in the world :P

Well I've got my list of things I need to pick up for my bakeathon but I didn't include hash for brownies. I am goofy enough without having to enlist the help of any drugs! I'll tell ya what you cross the border with the hash and I'll make the brownies HAHAHA! Good luck and don't be callin me to bail ya out because I'll say I'm sorry I have NO idea who that person is :)

Speaking of that...funny story...Johns dad bought a van off some fella years ago and unbeknownst to Johns dad the van was stolen. So he was pulled over and the police arrested him and they brought him to Johns house and basically said to John do you know this man? John responded No I've never seen him before in my life! HAHAHA! They took his dad to jail. My mom would have killed me!

Oh that's AWESOME!!!!

ouch kizza, you have to go to Montreal? they are struggling :( I'm very thankful I get to go to Van, we're aiming for a May 22nd and as long as CSC hurries I should be fine... I'm not in stress mode yet... but I can feel it coming!!

yeah that's why I'm a little anxious to have things moving.

But, from what I saw recently, they realise people's lives are on hold and are trying hard to cut through the backlog. A big bunch of people got interviews in Montreal in the last while and Im really hoping that it wont be another 4 months before they set up another batch of interviews. But I read somewhere that right now Montreal in the top 5 slowest consulates/embassies in the world.

If it takes 5 months for the petition approval and 5 months to get an interview, I wont get my visa til July.

Doesn't it seem strange that someplace like Montreal has one of the slowest processing times? You have to wonder why that is. I'm not being funny now but there are SO many other embassies that have HIGH HIGH fraud and they don't take that long so why in the hell would it take so long in Montreal???? I guess not a lot we can do about it really. Sit back and hope.

Seriously. Apparently last summer, a big part of the Montreal consulate staff resigned or got fired - not sure of the details, so they were understaffed. But they seemed so backlogged, I wonder if there was more to it. Anyway, hopefully it is resolved or on the way to be, and by the time it gets to my turn, there wont that much of a wait.

But as you said, I do find it strange that you hear about certain countries as being very high fraud, and it only take a couple of weeks to get an interview... Maybe there's no real relationship between the level of fraud and the delay.

Another approval at CSC yesterday, for an August filer. I do feel like they are tying loose ends though, taking care of files that had RFEs or that were dragging. Still, better than nothing.

LOL I dont know about CSC and USCIS in general, but I know the staff from the Montreal consulate reads the Canadian forum. They have asked to pass on messages through people having interviews!! It would be a lot easier for them to figure out who's who from your profile since it's a much smaller pool of people at that stage, not so much at the CSC level.

I figure they'll only see our relationships are real. They can go check my facebook page too if they have spare time! :D

Besides my severe jealousy towards the VSC filers, it looks like the numbers for the last three weeks are starting to come up. Seems less like CSC has slowed down to a trickle and more like people are just not updating their timelines efficiently. Do we still have hope of a Thanksgiving gift?

As slow as a snail with rheumatism, but moving nonetheless.

Approvals for August = 72%

IMO, either will see a quick spurt of action before Thanksgiving, or will have to wait until after Turkey Day to see much going on.

Rosa, havent seen you in a while... Are you in the States now?

Oy. Went up to Minnesota a few months ago, and my brother ended up getting lost in downtown Minneapolis, haha. It wasn't his fault, or the fault of my GPS -- gotta love construction!!!!

Minneapolis! Beautiful city. My fiance has lots of family there but we live (or at least, plan to live) 4 hours north of there. I'm hoping for CSC to start moving so I can go back there soon!

I love the twin cities!!! I'm lucky I'm going to be 1.5 hours East of them so I'll get to visit them all the time...

so back to Panda Watch day 75 (aka the visa journey)

you know how I was stalking the government website, the whole time we've been waiting this week they've shown 0's across the board, well I'm proud to report the fact that they are now showing data again, and HOPEFULLY that means they are going to ROCK out and send a bunch of NOA2's very shortly!!

one can hope right??

I just went on the USCIS site, and according to their chart (trend), there would me as many completed cases from September than there are for August. I find it hard to believe that there just happens to be none from VJ! weird.

Anyway. We have to get a September approval this week.

Pretty please. Im going to go nuts otherwise.
