Per your link

For immigrant visa cases assigned to an Appointment Post, the NVC will collect the fees, affidavit of support, civil documents and police certificates, as required. When the case is complete, NVC will schedule an appointment for an interview with a consular officer. At the time the appointment is scheduled, the NVC will send an appointment letter to all interested parties (applicant, petitioner, and agent/attorney of record, if applicable) notifying them of the date, time, and location of the interview; and forward the petition to the appropriate embassy/consulate.

A K-3 is NOT an immigrant visa.

Good luck.

Hindocha, you seem to be pretty confused. If you were already prepared to go through processing at NVC, even though it was in error, you should really consider going for the CR-1. I'm not making money every time I suggest it- I just wish someone had told me all the mistakes I was making along the way.

Naturalization

N-400 package mailed: 04/16/2013

N-400 package delivered: 04/16/2013

NOA1 date: 04/17/2013

Biometrics: 08/23/2013

Interview: 10/07/2013

DONE!

Yeah, that's good advice right there. I didn't even know about CR-1 when my wife and I started applying, but now we are almost done with the process.

At the very least, call an NVC operator and give them your email addresses. This will speed everything up greatly.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

For K3/K4 applicants, the Petitioner receives a letter with the NVC Case Number on it. My husband got ours about a week after he checked with the NVC (via phone call) if our case number was already available. I attached a sample of the letter here.

They don't send your case number to you. You call as many times as your heart desires

Did you read those guides I sent you? ALL your answers are there

Good luck.

That's strange cause I called and they gave me case number. We still haven't received anything through the post. The petition is now on it's way to London

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.
