How do you check the progress of your petition at the NVC. I have the number, but is there a website I can visit to find out what's going on?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

They don't send your case number to you. You call as many times as your heart desires

Did you read those guides I sent you? ALL your answers are there

Good luck.

Oh right I thought you send the case number to you by mail?!

Any-way's I called yesterday, they told me that they received the file on Friday; they gave me my NVC case number. Is that the Visa number or is the Visa number different?

Also, as my DOS/ Constitute is London, the NVC ask for all paper work (Police Certificate, Marriage Certificate, my original Birth Certificate and Affricate of Support), they then schedule in a Interview date for me (hopefully it'll be some point in Oct/ early November).

If I call NVC will tell me the latest, like if they have sent out a letter requesting further documents etc?

Canadian_Wife - I read the guidelines you sent me. Thank you

So does that mean you've changed your mind and decided to go for the CR-1?

If not and you are still pursuing the K-3, NVC won't be collecting anything from you.

For curtain constitutes the NVC collects documents like, my constitute falls under this (For certain U.S. Embassies and Consulates General, the National Visa Center (NVC) provides additional document collection and review, and schedules the cases for interview):

Police Certificate, Marriage Certificate, my original Birth Certificate and Affricate of Support,

They then schedule in a Interview date and pass on the petition to London.

No. I went through London as well. If you are pursuing a K-3 visa then NVC won't even open up your I-129f folder- they'll just mail it right to London, same as for a K-1.

NVC only handles document collection for CR/IR-1 visas.
