I just received an online update that my EAD card production was ordered.

So we are expecting an interview notice soon hopefully.

Since we haven't received a letter yet, we are not sure of exactly what we are supposed to bring even though we kind of have an idea from VS forum (such as things on both our names like lease agreement, car insurance, and our photos...etc) but if anyone could let us know more specific documents that they require (not something they suggest we bring. something that we MUST bring) for an interview, that would be very helpful.

Also, do they want original documents or is it ok to bring photo copies in general?

If we bring originals, do they ever take it and keep it (and not give it back to us)?

We kind of got worried after we found out on this forum that the citizen need to bring a proof to show US citizenship.

My husband is a naturalized US citizen but he recently applied for his first US passport so he submitted his original certificate of naturalization at that time.

We made a photo copy of it just in case we need it for something and we have a receipt that shows he applied for his passport.

If the interview date will be before he receives his passport and naturalization certificate back, do you think a photo copy and a receipt would be acceptable?

Thanks in advance :star:

We took all our original birth certificates, original translation with certification letter of my husband's birth certificate, health insurance cards, social security cards, driver's license, pay stubs from my job, W-2's for the last 3 years, my original divorce decree, all the USCIS papers we received, an original copy of our joint apartment lease...lots of pictures too and other various "joint" documents.

She asked for almost everything I brought.

We used a lawyer so they didn't send any evidence of our marriage with the package... so we had to present everything when we got there.

Hope that helps.
