I concur with john_and_marlene. His posts are useful and to the point. He is a much more valued VJ member than many others. I think Tay jumped the gun too fast, was told, that's that.

I gave a warning so that the tread would not end up as a "lets see who can come up with the weirdest iteam to send" The OP was asking a genuine question and they deserve to be given the best information from VJ members not responses that should be kept to O/T.

is a perfume box a good way to show we actually have a relationship? my husband (was my fiance at the time) sent me a bottle of perfume in the mail for my b day when i was in the states, he had written on it and dated it as well. the CO told my husband to send in documents and pictures showing our relationship. so is it silly to also send that in as well?

Tay, in all honesty; you jumped the gun too fast. Whether you admit it or not is not my problem neither do I really care.

We gave the OP several ideas on how to present his/her evidence. Take a pic of the perfume box, etc. There are much more serious transgressions of TOS than Haole saying the word "condom" (oh God! did I just say that?!?!). I can gladly give you the links.

Be careful making judgements about what is or is not constructive. Just because you don't "get it" you deem it as nothing constructive and run around deleting posts and tossing about warnings. I see the comment as allowing the OP an opportunity to realize the parallel of the two objects and deduce that it is just as unproductive to send in a perfume box.

I will add that Haole's comment is more appropriate to Off Topic and is not acceptable in the Upper Forums. TayRivers has issued only a warning - a 4 hour suspension as per Captain Ewok's instructions earlier this year, could also have been issued. I've sent my SO flowers on two occasions and a book on another and another gift for her birthday. I sent in the receipt I had for the items and she had a picture of herself taken with the gifts and we included that in our package of proof.

Everything, even so small and simple, is merely part of the telling of the story of your relationship. Put all together, anyone should be able to see that you two have a relationship and hopefully a loving one since you are intending to get married.

When they ask for photographs and other documents, they are looking more along the lines of pictures of you and your SO together on visits or on holiday. As for documents, We submitted phone bills, plane tickets, hotel reservations to show shared holidays. I'm not sure if you have these, but as Canadian_wife said, you'd be better off looking for this type of documentation.

In the case that you do not have any of these documents or pictures, you'll need to find some way. Do you have any receipts or documentation of your visits to each other? I ask because sending a birthday present really doesn't show much without other, more primary evidence.
