That is HCMC's tool to get extra time to evaluate a case and extra info to try to find flaws in a relationship... its a great idea and should be done in two phases.. pre filing and then an updated one at the interview... this would give the CO a better perspective about the relationship.... they actually try not to accept it at the interview and it is usually used as an excuse for a blue slip 221G at the interview.. very common and should be expected by all HCMC filers... along with a list of relatives living in the US (beneficiary) and proof of domicile of ex's... in other words they like to have us prove we are no longer with our ex's... even if it has been many years... this is often triggered by utility bills or assets that are still in joint names or if the ex is using utilities in your name...

Thank you, that is a very detailed explanation. But the Phils is considered a high fraud country for visas. I'm surprised Manila does not operate in similar fashion to HCMC in terms of RFE's. Cheers.

Hi all, my wife had her interview this morning she called to tell me we got a blue slip for a timeline. Belonging to VJ just long enough to know one was needed but not soon enough to submit one with the paperwork sent to USCIS and NVC. We drew up a very nice timeline, she submitted it with her dox just before her interview but it was returned. The CO said he wants a timeline she said she had one and he said bring it October 20th. Anyone else have this type of experience?

Waiting for her to get home so I can hear the rest of the experience

Thanks

effjaye

Frank... They have 1 year from the date of the interview/application to make a decision.. thats right at 3 months from now for you guys.... 90 days or less for you guys IMO....

I'll believe it when I see it. I was at the consulate 4 times this month. They told me our case would be now be looked at, then on my last visit they told me 2-3 more months. We hope for but dont expect a decision anytime soon in fact were planning my next trip for November/December.

Wow..they actually said 2-3 months? Thats so messed up... but at the same time at least it is within the 1 year mark and adds validity to the once a year deal... 60 to 90 days is not that long, but still longer than any of us want to wait to be together with our loved ones...amazing that they have the balls to say it will be another 2 or 3 months after the length of time you waited already.. Did they say why you have to wait?or just the same pending review BS?

All of the above in my opinion. This guy was a supervisor. Maybe he just pulled a number out of the air to pacify me for another 2-3 months. The guy that spoke to him before I did was told the same thing. But yeah I got a lot of the "Still Pending Review" and that they process 30,000 apps a year, bla bla bla. When I asked why 2-3 months more he said they have to wait for resources to become available. Its talking to a brick wall. I submitted more evidence and talked till I was blue in the face. Just have to wait more.

I wonder what resources they mean... could be BS statement from them or could mean there is something that they are waiting for.. those people at the window have the same scripted ####### lines as the ones responding to emails...... BS BLAH BLAH BLAH
