Hi,

I am a student on an F-1 visa and have married a US citizen here in the US and we both reside in the US. This is the first marriage for both of us.

I have a question regarding Form I-131.

I selected option 2d as my application type which is applying for advance parole to let me return to US after foreign travel.

After question 3 it states "If you are applying for an advance parole skip to part 7". My question is do I leave part 4 to part 6 blank and only fill part 7?

Regarding Form G-325a, it says in the instructions to filling Form I-130:

A completed and signed Form G-325A, Biographic Information, for you and a Form G-325A for your husband or wife. Except for your name and signature you do not have to repeat on Form G-325A the information given on your Form I-130 petition.

Since me and my husband are each submitting a form G-325a does this apply to both of us or only to my husband since he is filling form I-130?

For Form I-485 i am confused between option 2a and 2b. Option 2a states that I am applying for adjustment for permanent residence status because an immigration petition is giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved. But so far I have not sent in anything, so how can this be the right option?

Option 2b states that my spouse applied for adjustment of status but he dint as he is a citizen by birth so Im not sure if that is a right option either..

Thank you

If it ask for you to skip, then just write N/A in parts 4 to 6. Don't leave anything blank.

Don't know if I really understood your questions...I am afraid to answer it wrong.

I was in the same situation and chose option 2A. An immigrant petition is the I-130 that you are submitting at the same time, which will provide for an immediately available immigrant visa number once it is approved. You file both of the forms together.

Thank you
