Hi Everyone,

We are planning to send our package 3 today however i am little confused.

1. Do we just send Applicant statement, check list, and DS230 part 1 with two passport size photo?

2. Do we send Affadavit of Support in package 3 or 4??

3. For Affadavit of support it say it needs to be noatrized on the website. I know you can go and get it notarized at town hall but do i get the Affadavit of Support Form notarized or do i write a seperate letter?? If i have to write a letter what should it say?

"Note: Only U.S. consular officers, DHS officers and U.S. notaries are authorized to notarize form I-134.

Each visa applicant needs to satisfy the consular officer that he/she will not become a public charge. The petitioner must provide a notarized affidavit of support (form I-134), form 1040 and W2 for the most recent taxable year and proof of U.S. citizenship. If the petitioner’s income is not sufficient the applicant MUST submit the above documents from the petitioner along with the same documents from an additional sponsor willing to assume financial responsibility for the visa applicant. See the paragraph below for details regarding these documents."

Pkt 3 has a checklist for you to keep a track of whether you have all the documents or not. DS230 form part 1 & 2. You need to fill up part 1 and submit at the consulate and then you will receive pkt 4 which will hv your appointment letter for the interview, all the forms, medical exam requirements and the list of doctors that you can go to for your medical. Remember you can download DS230 part 1 from the website and fill it out and submit it at the consulate without waiting to receive your pkt 3 (once you know the case has reached the Consulate and save days) a week from then you can go back and collect pkt 4 from the consulate too and save more days. Read instructions on pkt 4 carefully and get medical out of the way asap. Collect all documents na submit to the VFS between 15-10 working days before the interview. Now just wait for the actual interview. All the best!

Here is my experience with P3, may be too late for you but hopefully will others that see this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=222888

1. See link

2. Take it to VFS 7-10 days before interview and take it in P4 to the interview.

3. I don't have mine notarized and from what I have read it does not need to be, just make sure you have recent pay statements and 2008 tax returns with it in P4.
