Congratulations on your K-1. All the best to you guys!!

I do however, find your case fascinating, in that you did not need to comply with IMBRA. I thought everyone needed to supply the I-129F "rider". I seriously doubt it was your evidence that got you bypassed, more likely oversight. I have seen some pretty compelling evidence of how people met their Fiance here, myself included. Very clear indicators of "non mail order bride" type introductions.

As I understood the law, everyone must comply. In any case, you are past that now. Again, all the best to you all.

David has his visa!! He will be leaving Bolivia in less than 2 weeks! We started the process by mailing our petition on 3/22 and he received the visa about 6 yesterday. We had our moments of drama but a little shy of 4 months is pretty good. We did it all ourselves with by following the guidance on this website! Yes!!! Thanks!! To Everyone

DAVID AND LUCI

Well CONGRATULATIONS are certainly in order but there is one strange thing here. How is it possible that you sent your application on March 22 - after IMBRA took effect - and did not get an RFE? Of course at this point it doesn't matter, but it's hard to understand. Maybe you forgot to add that in your timeline?

We were processed thru the Vermont Center and never got an RFE. But the package I sent was loaded with original photos, original certifed copies. It was processed in 2 weeks. I wanted David here as quickly as possible.

It had to be an oversight - a major one at that. How lucky that you didn't get recalled or turned away at the interview. Truly amazing and incredible. Thank god for you both that it's over now!
