our case was completed september 18 at NVC... you guys should call NVC and just check for your interview dates... or check your email...

Done both, no luck, may call later this evening before they close. We completed also Sept. 18th Congrats on interview date.:dance:

Shar and everyone: I just randomly called yesterday and the lady first told me: NOT YET, then I said when is it going to be forwarded to the embassy, she said ooh we just schedule your interview and gave me the date. I was so excited I didn't believe it so I called 2 hours later and had the same answer. We received the email a few hours later.

Well, "sigh" I called NVC, said no interview date yet, and NO chance for October, she told me this before I could ask about October. Told me to call back 3rd week in October to see if a November date was issued. Now all we have hope for is embassy to give us October interview for the K3, and still have not heard from them, as I have faxed them 4 days ago, and emailed last night, sigh, not looking good. Its been a long, hard journey, now, what lays ahead for us?

Remember... These are NVC operators and each one you will get a different answer and some stay to the script and some tell you the actual events!!! It is up to the embassy, NOT the NVC operators so dont stick the pig yet!

Hmm called NVC today and got the same answer (3 wks blah blah blah...), doesn't matter how sweet I talked to them.... I stick them any way... Just for fun .....:):):)

When you call NVC and hear that, to call back 3rd week in October, only issue interview 2nd week of each month, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc,.....................

" Dont you feel like saying "BULL SH%T that is not what Im seeing with interview dates being assigned, and its near the end of the month." as fire roars out of your mouth and nostriles, Or em I extra cranky today?

Well, that thought kinda scares me since you just renewed your permit to carry!!!!..... :jest:

:rofl::rofl: Im always cranky!!!! Thats why I'm sooooo loveable. :luv:

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Allright! Congratulations!!!!!

Thank you and good luck to all. Having VJ here to rely on for information really takes a lot of mystery out of the process. I wonder how people that don't know about this site ever make it through. It must be a super lonely journey, just can't imagine.

By the way I wanted to clarify something on my timeline that may confuse some, I know it would me. There is no field in the VJ timeline for "Receive appointment letter" so I use the "Receive Packet IV" to indicate when I received the appointment letter. I applied for a CR1 visa for my wife so everything will be at the embassy s forwarded from NVC. There is nothing but the appointment letter required at the interview but we will bring copies of everything we have previously submitted, more originales of birth and marriage documents, police clearances and some additional evidence of our ongoing marriage just to be safe. Here are some excerpts from the appointment letter.

An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S.

Embassy/Consulate in BOGOTA on November 3, 2009 at 07:00 am.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read and follow all Interview Preparation Instructions located on the Department

of State's web site at: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov, under the "Interview

Preparation" link.

Important information regarding the required medical appointment is listed on this site.

Failure to read and promptly follow all instructions provided on this site will result in

your immigrant visa being refused at the initial interview.

Upon arrival at the Embassy/Consulate, the applicant should present this letter to the

receptionist.

Those members of the applicant's family, listed on the attached page, must appear at the

U.S. Embassy/Consulate on the above appointment date. Please notify the

Embassy/Consulate if the applicant cannot keep the appointment. The address is provided

on the next page.

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not the

NVC received them. Please note that even though the applicant may have provided

the NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the

original document to the visa interview.

Got the email last night when I got home from work, case forwarded to the embassy in Manila, interview Nov. 4 at 6:30 AM! This after calling on Wednesday and getting "second week in October," blah blah blah, "call back Oct. 16" from a very snippy operator. Lots of Manila interviews being scheduled it seems, is it due to the embassy having open slots, or did calling on Wednesday actually help in some way? We only got case completed on the 21st, and got our interview date on the 25th, one week after login failed.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.
