Hey dawg...

I just spoke with my husband and we decided the same thing... seriously, I am not normally a rude person but what the #### is going on in Montreal? All the other consulates hand out interviews a week or two after completion. HEre you are sitting since June, and all us others -- we're going to hit week 8 soon of being finished. I have never been this frustrated in my life. mainly because there is no one we can complain to. We can't change how they're doing it and it just sicks big balls as my friend Mal would say... .

Get a move on, Dawg... I wanna hear you interviewing for November, k? Oh and just do me/us Canadians a fave? let us know...

Good luck...

:)

I hear that, lgg. I've told my wife that if I don't get a November interview, I'm going to come down for a week anyways to visit. They can go to hell if they don't like that! I've got a Nexus card, I've got a job here, I've got bills here, I've got a car loan here, what more would they want? I haven't seen her in person since January, and I miss her. My daughter hasn't even met me in person yet because of the wait (she sees me on webcam though). I've been down a number of times since the USCIS and NVC have been hacking away at my case, so hopefully I won't need to schedule a week off of my current job to go down if they get my interview set up for November.

What IS going on in Montreal? It's ridiculous, that's for sure. I sent the NVC an e-mail asking when I would get a date and pointed out that other cases completed after mine were already getting interviews. After two weeks, they finally responded, but didn't even answer my question. They wrote something like I have to bring documents not submitted to the NVC to the interview in Montreal. What?!? First of all, we sent all the original documents to the NVC, so they better not have lost them. Secondly, what does that have to do with WHEN I am going to get an interview? AAAAARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Phoning is pointless as well because I have tried that and they just give me the runaround. For Dawg and me, it's been almost 14 weeks, so what in the world is going on there!!!

Hopefully, LGG, they will schedule a whole bunch in November, including those of you done in August. I can't believe they will continue to fall that far behind and not catch up at some point.

hey there, Dalene...

Oh my god, it's SO awful, I am upset for myself but am horrified for people like you and dawg! #######?? There was some person whom I have never seen before, seirratango, who finished two weeks after me, 10 weeks after you guys and they got on interview. It's us. It's the K1s.... my husband wrote to his congressman, it wont' help us at all but something needs to be done about Montreal. I don't give a flip if they're busy with all the other visas and such -- all the other consulates in the world are as well yet they manage to give out interviews and not leaving people hanging by a thread. Obama wants to change immigration policy for the better? he should go and see what the hell's going on in his Montreal office and shake that sh!t up! Geez.

I am SO sorry Dalene that you are still waiting -- if you feel half as crappy as I do about it, my heart goes out to you.

Keep us posted, k?

:)

I think all us Canucks should go write letters of outrage and overall rage. And then request that Vancouver or another city begin to issue CR1/IR1s too. Oh Montreal, whatever will we do with you? XD

EDIT: LGG, write to Obama? O_O

PS.

Is there anyone we can email or send a letter to? I have zero hope of impacting my own case but in order to quell curiousity or perhaps incite some sort of change or whatever...

I looked on the Montreal US consulate website but found nothing and didn't want to call and speak to some bozo for 1.95$ per minute. ** that noise.

S'cuse me. Riled up.

@bern...

Dear Barack Obama...

I know you're busy with your new dog and the kids and stuff... OH, you might have some ####### to do with the world's most powerful nation but... I was wondering do you think you could go check in on your consulate in Montreal, Canada?

See, my husband and I have been waiting yonks for an interview and I'm really eager to get to your fair country and imbue a lot of Canadian bacon into your beans and franks way of life, you know? I feel that you'll appreciate my je ne sais quoi and the quirky way I say 'eh' and such. So, if you could just ask Michelle to give you an afternoon off, could you come to Montreal and kick some butt? I would repay you by making sure you had the best poutine EVER and we could get drunk at the old Peel Pub on Peel street, okay?

Great,

Your buddy, eh...

LGG...

Tabernac!!!!!!

No, we completely understand. Maybe you should call collect and get them to pay. But maybe try contacting whoever is in charge of US immigration or maybe the president? I doubt the latter though.

I saw! I don't think he'll understand the french bit...no offense. I had the nicest guy when I called NVC the other day, he was so nice and helpful. But they keep telling us to expedite, and I said, NO POINT K. STOP ASKING. What's the point of getting a VISA asap when your husband is away from the USA for another 7 months anyway.

Sorry, had to vent, sadkldnmaskjd.

Yepper, christeen! That's why it's so hard to wait!!! Okay, so, guess we'll just wait and see what and when. I am having fears of January and February for myself but, what can I do?

Good luck to everyone and we'll try to keep it upbeat, right??? RIGHT???

Maybe they saw your letter because I got an interview today! I called and they told me that the interview letter will be e-mailed to me in the next couple of days!
