tax returns beyond last year?

fiance makes well above the 125%, and this will bear true for his 2008 tax return.. but going back to 2006, he never filed because he didn't have to.

Should this be a concern?? Employment and bank info will be provided.

I see other topics where they say to not worry if the sponsor is making well over the poverty line.

But has anyone had the situation where sponsor's income + other info was theoretically and unquestionably "enough" to show support, but the consulate required those earlier tax returns anyway?

Some self-employed folks have needed to but it is rare for the typical employed individual to be required to provide further tax return information. If for some reason they wanted this information - your fiance would simply need to provide a letter of explanation as to why he did not or was not required to, file taxes for those tax years.

I went to my hubby's interview and at the window they only requested the last tax info, so maybe the same will happen to you, I was ready with all three last tax returns and the officer said no no we only need the 2008 taxes.
