My fiance' finally completed 6 months of TB treatment on September 2nd, 2009. She took her last sputum and culture test on August 2nd 2009. Other than the first test in February which showed positive, all other sputum and culture tests have been negative. We are told now results of last culture test will be September 29th. My questions are: Has anyone ever finished the treatment and received visa? and if so How long did it take?

This was yet another headache for us, both my wife and daughter received lifetime vaccinations for TB in their home country, was told here, no such thing. Skin tests were positive, but you cannot get two medical professionals to agree on this subject. Read that irritation is normal and if that area can be hidden with a dime, it's negative and it was. But couldn't sell that to a hardhead or others for that matter. Do get their I-693, had to pay a small fortune for chest x-rays that both came back negative. This was certainly an area of concerned when my wife got a job at our local hospital, can't recall the name of that pill, was cheap, but she had to take it for I believe nine months to keep her job plus yearly chest x-rays, this time, our insurance covered that.

But read a lot at the time on this subject where the British came out with some kind of blood test that was far more accurate pointing out all the faults with the skin test. Our AMA was hardheaded in adopting that, but finally did a couple of years ago, with my wife's first blood test, it came back negative, so it was finally a closed issue. She did have her annual health test a month ago without that TB issue coming up again.

I even demanded they do a skin test on me as confessed to kissing my wife once, they refused avoiding the argument that if she had TB, a communicable disease that I should have it too. More contradictions.

Biggest contradiction is at the bottom of that I-693 form, can have every communicable disease known to mankind and still be admitted as long as you agree to counseling. So why all the madness with this very expensive I-693 along with trying to find a USCIS approved doctor that wouldn't rob you to death? Could only conclude it was all BS, just like that crazy I-751, spouse could say I slapped her on the butt, physically abused her, and still stay here. More BS.

You don't use logic with the USCIS, just say, yes sir and do what you are told.
