I received my packet from the embassy with the DS 230, 156 and 156K, 157 and the AOS....they seem to be expired forms or the old style forms....i downloaded the current forms which are pretty much the same from the US Embassy site....here is my question...will the Jamaican Embassy accept the new AOS that does not require notarization or must I use the old one...will they accept the downloadable forms from the US govt site or will they only accept the "old style" forms??? Please help!!

We had our interview on November 18th, 2009 and we were APPROVED!!!

I don't see how they could reject the current valid form.

That said, if you're extremely concerned about it, most consulates have an email address or phone line you can call with questions like this. When in doubt, it's always safest to ask the people who have the last word on the issue.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Lesly, we downloaded all the forms from the USCIS website. I believe they will accept the new forms... I copied this off of the USCIS website:

Warning! Many non-USCIS websites offer immigration forms. Some will sell you a downloadable form for a fee. These sites are not affiliated with USCIS, and these sites may not have the latest versions of forms. In some circumstances, use of older forms may result in your application or petition being denied or delayed. The latest version of these forms is always available on www.USCIS.gov.

Thing is, if you simply rely on the dates on the form and not check the USCIS updates, you'd think the forms are expired. This isn't always the case as some forms will have a valid date from two years ago (cuz they dont need to update it) while others wont be expired for 2 years (cus ppl keep having issues with, or gvnment need further clarity)

True but the OP isn't asking about any USCIS forms. DS means Dept. of State.

To the OP, the Jamaican Embassy will not have anything to do with the visa application. You'll be dealing with the Consular Immigrant Visa Unit at the US Embassy in Jamaica.
