New Case Status Page

USCIS has changed the case status page. You can now get your status texted to your mobile. There are also new category headers but there's only a message from President Obama in them at the moment. Also, when you hover over the round circles for each category it gives a description. Oh! And they also have a new Processing Times section lower down on the login page.

Yes it was introduced last week, it kind of helps in knowing the step by step processing of cases. I don't know how accurately its updated. We will get to know more as posters post their experiences with the new case status page.

BTW it was an OBAMA initiative to revamp the USCIS webpage.

Thanks for the info!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Not sure that i like the new interface all that much.

granted, I like how you get more description of the process in general and think that it's helpful to get that aspect of it. but for example previously our case was transferred to CSC and was pending, according to the new website we would have no clue...

I wouldn't mind the new bubbles and long description as a hover over but still retain the "more important information like where our case really is"

Hope they "revert" it back or something.

For some reason I can't see where in the new page you find if you were "touched". Is it the "last updated" table headline? Or is there an specific place you can see "touches" ??

Sis, it's the date that shows on last updated... if it changed, then they "touched" your file.

Figured it out with the help of a VJfriend. I thought they would keep a record of the dates they "touched" your case. But now I see that the Last Updated date is in fact the touch... :bonk:
