Yamsam,

I haven't filed my 2005 either.

I know that the I-864 (affidavit of Support) expires 1 year after you signed it.

But who knows what those COs would ask for.

I also hope that we will get the visa after the interview & would not undergo any additional background checks anymore.

Goodluck

Abu Dhabi embassy emailed me back today stating that the interview date is confirmed.

I wonder why they said on their email yesterday that they don't have our files yet.

You will go crazy if you believe everything that these embassy people says.

Hey, that's good... So, did you have any luck getting the appointment letter yet? Now, that the embassy have confirmed that they have your case and you have interview, you can ask them for a copy of the interview/appointment letter to be sent in the email...

In our case, i called DOS on Feb 7th, and a lady told me that a letter was mailed on Feb 1st. The actual letter arrived on Feb 13th..

Good Luck,

YamSam

My case is complete as of 02-27-2006!!!!

Now waiting for interview. Yes!!!!!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!! Hope you get interview in April....

I also feel cheated to the k1,k3 delima vs. ir1. As far as I know right now in the philippines all cases no matter if k1 or ir1 are taking 5 months from the case completed date or the transfer of case to embasssy (k1 and k3). I will check NVC next week to see if my wait is over after all it has been five months from completion date.

Hi there!

I hope you could advice me based on your experiences. I'm getting desperate about waiting visa appointment. :(

Hey Guys!

It's February 28 already. The beginning of the so-called "TIME OF THE MONTH" when interviews are being set for the next month. I wish everyone the best who are waiting for their schedules. Good luck to each one of us! :star:

Wow, my case was completed last December 8, 2005. Just one day ahead than your case. And I am hoping I'll be schedule in April. Please keep updated.!

Well, we helped them a little bit. They had send the RFE for the DS-230 twice. So we decided to send in the second one with the item they lost.

I'm sure you're almost there too.

Permanent Green Card Holder since 2006, considering citizenship application in the future.

konfuz,

as most people here at VJ says, it is really hard to wait if you dont know how long you will be waiting for. it would be easier if they say your interview will be 3 months from now. 3 months is long but easier because you know for sure that in 3 months your interview is coming up.

when i was still waiting for my date, im always worried that nvc might have screwed up on my papers.

but hang on there. they just want to take their sweet time. your chance will come. for now, just prepare all the proofs that uou need to bring.

Hi Jennieh,

Have you ever tried calling Department of State 1-202-663-1225?

Coz, when my case was transffered (jan 11th)at the embassy i remember calling (jan 23rd) them in just few weeks after the case was completed (jan 4th). And the nice lady told me that my case was recently sent to the embassy and it takes approximately 2 months for my embassy to schedule the interview.

So may be they might be able to give you an approximate wait time for the interview based on your Embassy.

I really wish that you get interview scheduled next month.

YamSam,

Yes I call them at the Department of State and the NVC often.. I call the department of state when I get tired of calling the NVC.. LOL hoping they might be more lucky for me. They told me my case will not be transfered until a date is set. But Iim starting to get some really rude people at the department of state latley when I call. I practically get yelled at for calling cause the NVC is to schedule my interview they said. I hope we get a interview this month. But im not sure it seems Ive heard that since Morocco is on a "denial happy spree" right now that so many people are being denied that they might be behind giving second interviews to people. And all the interview spots are taken I found out a few people from early December are still waiting for interviews. But atleast now im calling the NVC so much im starting to know the names of their night staff!! Lucy and Jack to name a few (he is pretty nice get him alot) Thanks for your help Yamsam
