That's true enough, except the legislation enabling this nonsense of loans to people not qualified was signed into law on July 12, 1999 by President Bill Clinton. How does that have anything to do with George Bush? I guess he is wrong from the get go.

The enabling legislation for the mortgage mess that started this was passed by the GOP Congress and signed by Bill Clinton on July 12, 1999.

Let's at least stick to the facts. The President doesn't pass any legislation. The Congress does. And the majority in Congress - both chambers - was then held by the GOP. Clinton wouldn't have had a law to sign if the GOP hadn't send it to his desk.
