I might have believed you but you aren't telling me the right things.

Hold on let me send you my receipts.

It would be easier to say I have a mac pro.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I'll believe you if you post a few pics that obviosly shows what's under the hood and you holding a sign that says spooky sucks. Within the next 10 minutes.

You ask a lot.

It should be simple. And much cheaper than putting 5 K in a PayPal account, buying plane tickets, scanning your w-2's, tax returns, pay stubs, college diplomas etc. I gave you and easy one.

You either believe me or you do not.

Why would I waste my time proving it? What I would gain from proving myself, I would lose in dignity.

You always say you will do all the other things you listed, this one is simple. You post and prove me wrong; I apologize to you right here in the forum. I'm man enough to admit it when I am wrong.

You know what, normally I would and have no problem with it. However, considering I barely know two things about most here, it should be obvious why I wouldn't go the extra mile to prove anything.

Back to the PC. Excluding porn, what do you mainly use your PC for?

Spooks, I don't know how high end you need, but I work with 3D animation software (Maya and 3DS Max) on my Toshiba laptop and it is more than sufficient.

Toshiba Satellite P305-58825 (17" Widescreen)

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5550

RAM: 3072 MB PC300 DDR2 SDRAM

Hard Drive: 320 GB HDD

Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with 256MB

......

I bought it from Circuit City just over a year ago.

I prefer a laptop over a desk top because I can take my work with me anywhere.

I still like a desktop at home, and it's time for me to update. I want to get something near cutting edge, maybe a step or so down from the psycho stuff. That way it will still be viable for several years withour paying the ridiculous prices for processors and video cards. The latesta and greatest processor is about a grand, and the top single video card is over $500. I can go down a couple of notches and still have a cutting edge system at a more reasonable price point.

Looks like a nice laptop. My wife has a 17" too and she hates to carry it! But that's a nice size screen.

I think if you went the extra mile it would prove a lot. You have been called out for boasting many times. offered to post financial info etc. This one is nice and simple and friendly and will prove that you are telling the truth. And I will admit I am wrong right here in this forum.

Not going to happen. You're Mr secret and you want me to pull my case apart from under my desk. A case which took an hour to drop down into because I had to disassemble the desk to do so, and then upload a pic. I'd rather you take it as I am lying.

As you are so fond of saying, prove me wrong. I say you don't have it, so unless you prove me wrong, it must be true. That's the logic you post here everyday.

Pay me for my time and I'll take the photo.

 You were gonna buy me a plane ticket to DC so you could use me head for a punching bag. Now you want me to pay you for a couple of pics? Why?

Anyway, I'm out. When I get back I'm going to take a closer look at your build specs. Carry on.

Is anyone using a pc with a core i7 or some other leading edge processor? How about graphics card and motherboards? I'm looking for some feedback and ideas for a new pc. It's getting to be desktop replacement time. Please post your configurations.

What's your budget? (And I presume you want to build it yourself yes?)

The i7 and short list of mobos are definitely expensive - some good values in Dual (or Quad) Cores - many good mobos with good options for SLI and/or Crossfired Graphics cards.

Depending on how high-end you want to go - you can do a simple single-drive HD or multiple RAID configuration (a bit of overkill but...)

Do you use it mainly for gaming? (or similar processor/graphics intensive use)

Our current home desktop isn't high end any more (year or so old now, which is ancient lol)..
