Is anyone using a pc with a core i7 or some other leading edge processor? How about graphics card and motherboards? I'm looking for some feedback and ideas for a new pc. It's getting to be desktop replacement time. Please post your configurations.

Are you sure you're cable of putting a PC together?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You don't want to know my pc's specs. My power supply alone is worth $180 bucks.

Spooks, I don't know how high end you need, but I work with 3D animation software (Maya and 3DS Max) on my Toshiba laptop and it is more than sufficient.

Toshiba Satellite P305-58825 (17" Widescreen)

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5550

RAM: 3072 MB PC300 DDR2 SDRAM

Hard Drive: 320 GB HDD

Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with 256MB

......

I bought it from Circuit City just over a year ago.

I prefer a laptop over a desk top because I can take my work with me anywhere.

I had to get the specs. I purchased my system a few weeks ago.

I hate slow PC's so I have to have a well oiled machine.

You don't buy a sysem like that. You spec it out and have it built or build it yourself.

I donate my old PC's as I buy new PCs.

I bought it all from newegg, zipzoomfly and tigerdirect.

Obviously I don't recommend this PC for the average Joe user.

It's a PC not a Bentley.

Cost me about ~$2,800
