OK, I was checking around the forums, and haven't found a solution to our problem. Sorry if this is repeating a past thread, if so I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction. I've gotten a lot of great advice from this site, and I hope that you guys can help us now. Here's our situation:

My Slovak wife and I (I'm American) were married last October in Slovakia. At that time I began putting in all of the I-130 and I-129 forms.

The 1-129 came through first, and she was given her K-3 visa and entered the US last week.

Meanwhile her immigration visa is still being processed, and the National Visa Center sent us an email about a $400 fee to continue with the immigrant visa.

We're pretty confused whether its better to go with the Adjustment of Status now, or to pay the fee to continue processing the immigration visa.

She'd like to be able to work legally ASAP, but the end goal is of course to get a green card.

Any suggestions on what we should do would be heavily appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I'd continue the CR-1 and get the immigrant visa. She'll probably end up with a GC just as fast as adjusting status. Cost isn't much more even with a plane trip.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
