Is the Police Certificate a World wide document? Does each country have a standard Police Certificate? or is it just a statement from the police departement that there is no record? because the beneficiary has no record.

06/30/06- sent I-129F petition to VSC.

07/11/06- NOA1 (received in mail)

07/19/06- RFE received in mail, IMBRA

07/28/06- e-mail, IMBRA RFE received at VSC

09/11/06- called VSC, told I'm with an adjudicating officer

09/25/06- called VSC, told to file expedited service, outside 60 days of RFE received date

09/26/06- sent expedited service request to VSC via fax and snail mail

09/26/06- Senators and Congressman making inquiries into my petition

09/29/06- expedited service request approved by VSC director

10/04/06- e-mail NOA2 approved!!!!!!

10/05/06- NVC received

10/06/06- NVC forwarded to Poland Embassy

10/16/06- Packet #3 received

10/17/06- Packet #3 sent to US Embassy Warsaw

10/30/06- Packet #4 received

10/30/06- Interview scheduled for November 22nd!!!

11/30/06- Visa in hand, via DHL!!!!

12/05/06- Ania and I arrive together in the USA

02/11/07- Ania applied for Social Security Card

02/17/07- Ania and I were MARRIED!!!!!!

07/24/07- Social Security Card in hand- after some minor issues and a little procrastination :)

10/14/07- I-485, I-765, and permission to travel mailed to USCIS

10/17/07- Received NOA1

12/17/07- I-485 shipped to California Service Center for faster service

12/17/07- I-765 approved new card should be mailed within 30 days, Advanced parole approved

02/28/08- AOS APPROVED!!!! PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD RECEIVED!!!!! (card received couple weeks after approval)

Each country has/issues its own police certificate. And they're called different things at different countries. For example in Singapore, it's called "Certificate of No Criminal Conviction". In Canada, they just call it "Canadian Police Certificate".

Hi there, if you go to this website you can find reciprocity tables for each country. Here:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/reciprocity/index.htm

Click on the letter of the country you are looking for and you will find instructions on how to request documents from that country, including policy certificates. Each country has a different form unique to that country.

sanita's was extremely brief..less than a paragraph..it is up to the country's police to decide what form to use not the uscis or consulate

June 23rd - recieved RFE (IMBRA)

June 24th - Sent back RFE

June 27th - 7 touches

June 30th - touched

July 3rd - touched

July 10th - NOA2 notice via email

July 14th - NOA2 via snail mail

July 14th - petition mailed thru DHL to Asuncion, PY

Week of July 17th - Embassy received my petition

July 24th - beneficiary receives packet 3

July 27th - medical exam

Aug 7th - interview - approved :)

Aug 11th - picked up his visa

Aug 21st - purchased plane ticket!

Aug 30th - reunion day :)

My fiance just went to request his police certificate and they told him its' going to take over 2 months to issue. What the #######!!! Is that normal??

Every country is different... takes 40 days to get one in England.... gotta plan ahead!! David requested his 3 weeks ago so that it's not the hold up when we do get our NOA2....

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

Could be worse. My understanding is that getting one from Canada w/fingerprints takes 4-6 months. :o

1. yes, unless you want to find out what will happen if you don't. I didn't take a chance

2. no, you can go to KRK office in Warsaw, where you can get it right away, and bring it to an interview with you. If you choose to send paperwork (request for police certificate) to KRK, Embassy will pick it up after it is ready or KRK will mail it to Embassy ( I am not sure which way is a correct one, I would assume Embassy picks it up)

DO I HAVE TO GET A RECENT CERTIFICATE OR CAN I USE AN OLD ONE?

1. yes, unless you want to find out what will happen if you don't. I didn't take a chance

Based on that table - a police report in Pakistan can be obtained at no cost by contacting the applicants District Coordination Office...and it would take 3 MONTHS??? Does anyone know what this means???? I am really stressing out about this Pakistan Police Report, so anyone that can help me would be much appreciated. Thank you
