we will be (practicing) the routes to drive to his new job come monday, (yehhhhhhhh)

JOKE: Know what happens when u turn a Moroccan loose on the interstate?

ANSWER: will follow next week

My husband was nervous about driving in OKC too. I had to drive him to and from work the first few days especially because it means driving on the I-35 for about 30 min. He was so nervous and still doesn't like it, but he is getting more confident. Hope our husbands don't run into each other though, lol.

Oh, also, he got a call yesterday from one of the telemarketing places that he applied to several months ago. They want to interview him again on Monday. We were really suprised they still had his application. The best part is that this place is pretty much accross the street from where we live now whereas the Ihop he works at is over 30 min away. It would save us so much money on gas and with the economy the way it is, you would be amazed how many people don't tip at restaurants anymore. I feel so bad for my hubby when he comes home after 4 or 5 hours with only $10 and you know they only get like 2 something an hour. Other days are a little better and he may come home with $35 or $40, but they usually only give him two tables and the business isnt that busy except in the mornings. I will be so happy if he gets this other job. It may be telemarketing but at least it pays $9 an hour plus bonuses. With Ihop he isn't even making minimum wage.

Happy Caturday all :)

Last night my husband picked up Amirah from daycare about 530 before heading over to get me from work. Its about a 10 minute drive and by the time he got to me she was dead asleep in the car - which is very unlike her but I was thinking oh well, she must not have napped well this afternoon so she'll sleep for a bit. Well - we tried to wake her a couple of time in the evening to eat and stuff and she was just OUT. Finally she got up for about 20 minutes at 430 this morning when hubby was up for eating/praying. she shared a yogurt and a bagel with him, got a dry diaper, and then crawled back in bed with me and slept until 8. WOW.

Happy Caturday, everyone!

I have a $150 gift card for Babies R Us that my coworkers generously chipped in for that's burning a hole in my wallet. I may take a trip on over there - I've never been yet due to my bedrest!

Hey, Dorothy, I noticed you got J's citizenship app out - congratulations! I hope he gets approved quickly. :)

Thanks Jenn - didn't want to wait much longer - just get it over with and see what happens next.

BTW, good to see you out and about, Jenn after so many weeks of bedrest! I guess the L/D day is just around the corner for you...It must be so exciting...Have fun shopping at Babies R Us!!!

Trying to decide what to eat for dinner tonight. I want something festive. I really really want steamers and a 2lb lobster but it's just me and my little one until the parade of 13 yr olds come to sleepover and she hates the smell of lobster :(.

Eid mubarak, everyone!

First time checking in since we got home yesterday, the last few days have been an exhausting whirlwind. But my daughter and hubby and I all made it safely to the US, even though immigration freaked us out a little bit in Seattle. POE was a little rough, but not painful. :)

JOKE: Know what happens when u turn a Moroccan loose on the interstate?

ANSWER: will follow next week

Morning everyone!!! Have a safe, happy weekend. Nawal, Happy Birthday!! :star::star:

brnidokiegurl, Cant wait to hear the punch line next week of your joke.

u dont have to wait for the (almost) punch, needless to say we drove, we screamed, we wont be going on the interstate for awhile.... He seems to have this idea when you are on the interstate and you want to change lanes, you just turn your signal on and the sea of cars parts for the king.....wrong.. forgot to tell the car (right) next to us to (hey move over I am) so after a few honks and my screams of WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? of course i holler to much sorry, im not going to just sit here patiently while you kill me and maybe someone else, get over it.....and no you dont turn your head over your shoulder, while the car proceeds to go the other direction. SOOOOO we found the alternate, more untraveled road, less traffice more lights longer drive... and it will work just fine
