Ok he needs to get a court transcript to show that his drunk & disorderly convictions would not equal 5 years or more in jail.(at least that is what I think because they could only deny him if that were the case). I thought they may give him trouble-but if I had known we would have requested the court records MONTHS ago. They just want to make sure that he wouldn't require a waiver(which he shouldn't)

We are disappointed but he said everything else went fine-hopefully we can get them what they want & we wont have to wait too long. I think he will get approved once they see that the covictions were minor & don't come with jail sentences.

really bummed :( I thought we would be celebrating today!

Hi Irish!

sorry to hear you didn't get the approval. But dont' worry, just missing a document. No big deal. As for me, the consulate request for my signature to comfirm my acknowlegement of my fiancee's daughter.

Best wish for all of us.

Agreed with gym, it is easy to rectify. Can he get the court transcipt and just fax it in I wonder (assuming it's not 457 pages)? The Dublin Embassy is cool with that with certain docs and if they have everything he can approved and just go along then to get his passport stamped. But I'm sure it is just a little formality and once he gets that and shows the Consular Officer that it's no biggie, then he'll get the visa no problem.

Hope your collar bone is healing up.

collarbone is healing-but painful, I still can't believe I broke it

I just spoke with Gav again-he said everything went really well-they just want to see if the convictions are a big deal or not. It better not be 457 pages or my man in in a lot of trouble-I'll kill him  Since it was drunk & disorderly-I think he should be fine. The guy even made a joke about it b/c it was St. Patrick's day that he got arrested. They are just doing their job, but it is frustrating. I think they would let the info be faxed over to them-Gav is going to thr garda station tomorrow-he is going to explain the situation to them & he will beg for them to rush the info.

as always-I will keep everyone posted.

I know  I swear we are the most unlucky Irish people in the world!!!!!!!!!! I should have done a little more research and I would have known he needed these papers. I just called the corts-he can go in-pay the nine euro & they will be sent out to him straight away. Maybe we are only looking at another couple of weeks  I am going to see if they will fax them to the embassy-maybe they will????

if we can survive 8 months-a few weeks is nothing ;) I do think he will get it once they see he paid the fines.

hope you are doing well!!!! thanks for thinking of us!!!!
