Hi,

I have been reading alot about the k-3 and Cr-1 process but dont know which one to go with. I want the one that will have my husband with me sooner. Doesn't matter how much they cost just want to be together soon.

I also been reading that if i do the k3 and they both get approved i can leave the k3 and continue with the CR-1 if that happens will the cr-1 still take a long time?

Im so confused!!!

The CR1 is "usually" being processed in the same amount of time as the K3 now. You may even fall into a situation where the CR1 will be approved prior to the K3 - which will cancel out the K3 application. It is entirely up to you - but the CR1 is the better visa at the end of the day.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

If I go with the CR-1 will the nvc send it to the embassy/consulate or does it stay there until i tell them to act on the Cr-1 or does that only happen if i do the k3 and they both get approved? I read this on one of the topics.

Yes, NVC forwards the case to the appropriate Consulate or Embassy. Follow the guide here and use the LingChe shortcuts for NVC. See the Wiki for that.
