I've been praying all week that God sends Steven's visa to Montego Bay in time for him to come back with me. But this morning, when I called DHL, the lady told me that the embassy was still processing his visa and that there was NO WAY that it would be in Montego Bay by Friday morning.

After hearing that, I prayed that God would make a way.

However, I didn't act on my faith enough. Instead of staying the night in Montego Bay, as originally planned, we stayed in Negril since the lady said it wouldn't possibly be in Mo Bay in time.

Would you believe that the package arrived in Montego Bay at 2pm today?? The website says that it went out for delivery around 5pm.

I wish the website were updated more in real time. I've checked that status every hour or two today. An hour ago, it didn't say anything about being ready in Montego Bay.

Now I just need to find out if the DHL location in Montego Bay is open on Saturdays. Somewhere, I saw that it's not. Let me find out.

Did anyone ever pick up from the Montego Bay DHL on a Saturday?

God forbid it doesn't work out for me and A...but I would know with everything in me that we loved each other once upon a time...had a great friendship...but our life paths changed routes at some point, and we had to part ways. I know the sacrifices he has made to be here with me...fearing that there will probably never come a time when his girls can join us. I witness his turmoil everyday wanting to be in their lives and wanting to be happy with me. He told a pastor and his family that he has never been so happy in his entire life...told his sisters (they are his best friends too) that he could marry me everyday...he doesn't have to spit game to me...when he reaches out to rub eye buggers out the corners of my eye...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he tells his little girls at night...daddy loves you...I know that he loves me too. When he wakes up to watch me shower and dress for work just so he won't miss kissing me later...he silently tells me he loves me. When he gets to the last sweetie in the bag and he bites in half and saves me the other piece...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he softly caresses the scar on the back of my neck while we lounge in bed...he silently tells me that he loves me. When he leans in to kiss me goodnight because I fell asleep as soon as I laid down (despite the drool)...he silently tells me that he loves me. When I come home late at night from working this stupid A$$ shift they gave me....to a spotless home and a STARVING man...and he tells me baby nuh fret bout cooking...I'll grab a bowl of cereal the boys are good...he silently tells me that he loves me.

i've been reading, trying to catch up and this brought tears to my eyes

it hits so close to home and it makes me miss hubby even more

man i just miss the $hit out of him

Thanks for sparing the text. Apparently, one time my mother wanted me to let her know when I arrived safely. I made a big deal out of the cost of that text, and when I did send it, it said "Made it safely. PLEASE do not text me back!" So the next trip, she asked me to let her know when I made it and not to worry: she won't text me.

If I call the DHL number, the answering service indicates that their offices are open from 9 to 1 on Saturdays. However, this site indicates that only one of the Kingston offices is open at all on Saturday. So we won't know until 9:05 or so if he'll be able to come back.

Yes, with bills I sent nothing. What do they expect, your husband just arrived and isn't working or anything. Most don't even have a SSN. It wasn't a problem for me. Not sure if anyone else had problems.

I wish. Continental only flies to/from where I live & Montego Bay on Saturdays this time of year. Any other airline would mean a twice-as-long flight, as well as canceling my return-flight. And I don't have enough vacation to take another day off.

Hmm. But if I were sick... and wanted to pay almost $500 extra for a flight on another airline, I could stay until Monday. For all that, though, he can just come on his own later.
