They did that with us too...it is on one of the forms. He writes your name then signs his name I think.

Congratulations MsTee!!! I'm not caught up on all the posts, but I saw some big letters saying Approved.

We're off to apply for a social security number/card.

Justucia, Exciting News! I can't exactly imagine the nervous feeling you have, but I'll be there in a month or so.

Y? Because their skin is lighter & their hair may be a finer texture? I'm sorry, but this statement is really making me feel some type of way...

I agree Ms. Palmer. Arent Black children beautiful as well

I get what you are saying, mstee - I think that when you mix heritages, the children can end up with some of the most striking features - Ex: My friend is Jamaican / Japanese, his wife is Italian / Native American - their daughters have such a unique, exotic look to them with high cheekbones and Japanese eyes -

All children are beautiful, but I have found that in mixed race children, they seem to inherit the best features of all their parents -

I read this book & it explains, from a scientific perspective, why people tend to find interracial people attractive. (If you believe the science.)

Just popping in to let MsTee know that she and her sweetie are in my prayers! Remember, God is in control!

look at mi ticker!! mi pick di medium color babies cuz mi nuh knoa ow dem a come out...

well finesse you could have one very fair complected child and one with the perfect tan :)......everyone says to me....for being twins, do you know you have 2 different colored children cara??? OMG are you serious???? i didnt have a clue!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you one of my twins is chocolate and the other is vanilla.

Mixed children are SO beautiful to me! :)

Y? Because their skin is lighter & their hair may be a finer texture? I'm sorry, but this statement is really making me feel some type of way...

I apologize if its making you feel some type of way. My children aren't mixed and I still think they are beautiful too. I just think mixed children's skin tones, eye color and hair just comes across to me in a guinuinely beautiful way. It strikes something inside of me. I don't mean anything offensive about it.

Hey MsTee...no worries...I just think that one of the problems that continue to plague the African-American/and Afro-Caribbean (is that right) is that this "exotic" and "genuinely beautiful" looked of mixed race people is something to aspire to. Whether you mean to or not in your actions, thoughts, beliefs, this will perpetuate itself in one way or another. Why do you think bleaching is running so rampant in JA? And not just JA, but all over the world. Unfortunately Africans and those from African descent continue to struggle with acceptance of their own skintone, features, etc because they know that for a majority of people it is not "as beautiful". Beautiful--yes. But still not "as beautiful". That's like saying a woman is smart, but not "as smart" as a man. Or a larger woman may be beautiful, but not "as beautiful" as a smaller woman simply because of size. If there is a way that we can make all of our children feel as though they are the most beautiful beings, then we need to make that our mission in life EACH AND EVERY DAY! If we do so, if we uplift ALL of our children, make them ALL feel special, then will there be no need for constant desire to change themselves. Trying to be something that they are not--regardless of the mental and physical implications that may be endured during their pursuit. Looking for others to validate them instead of finding that validation and acceptance within themselves and from those that love them. It would probably prevent 1/2 of the ####### that's going on with our young people today.

You guys are reading WAY to much in what I said. If you know me personally you know I love ALL children. I wouldn't be becoming a teacher if I didn't. Im not saying it like I prefer light skinned black men to dark skinned black men. I just think some mixed children have an exotic look which makes them beautiful. Some dark skinned black children have a very carribean look which makes them becautiful too! Take it easy on a sista dang!

Hey Q ((waving))) I was wondering weh yuh dey?? Guess what me and Z had a lonnnnnng chat dis weekend. We are making baby steps and I guess I'll be in your neck of the woods for All Star. Tell RG to fire up the stove mi coming fi dinner. Ask him does he mind showing me how to make Brown Stew Chicken again. I swear I am the only person that cant get it right and its only a few steps. Roc showed me step by step but gosh darn it i just can't seem to get it right or maybe its because I dont have the spices I don't know but I sure do want some.
