does anyone know about Vonage. I just saw a commercial for unlimited calls around the world for 24.99 a month!!

I wonder what the small print is.

Nope its a joke. I tried it. Of course JA is not included and its .50 cents a minute which adds up. The reception is the worst. My calls either didn't go through or had static. Roc used to complain about it all the time.

Well Finesse, I have been feeling violated lately. This damn raccoon has been coming on my balcony and biting my trash can top trying to get to my trash. Once night I kept hearing this noise and though it was my neighbor moving his trash can. After an hour of the same noise, I run down stairs and pull back the curtains to find a Pitbull sized raccoon sitting on top of my trash can looking me dead in my eyes. I hurry up and closed the curtains and ran screaming. That thing gave me the creeps. Ray scared it away, but now that Ray works at night I still hear it.

Last night I heard the noise again, so I threw a glass of water through my screen bedroom window with hopes of frightning it. Now, I have to pay $40 to buy another trash can because I can't buy just a trash can top. Damn wild animals. Why don't they go find a dumpster somewhere? I'm scared. My uncle said to mix some antifreeze and sugar and leave it out there for them to drink it, so I asked what will that do. He said it will blow up their stomach. So I guess I'll end up having to remove a dead raccoon. Yuk!

I am studying the hunting safety materials so I can take the written test before October 5th and the field test on the 12th. If you need me to come.......um......help you out there, just hollar

there are no poisons you can use that will not also be a risk to or available to pets or other, more desireable wildlife, not to mention the possibility (however remote) of kids getting into it. Even if the posion is restricted to areas like garbage cans, dead poisoned raccoons can be consumed by dog or cats which then become poisoned themselves.

I thought my uncle was crazy when he said that. lol I'm not going to poison the animal, I'll find another solution. Maybe we can put a brick on the lid to the trash can Ja Princess, Hopefully, I won't find any kids on my deck. lol My deck doesn't have any steps.

Call animal control, or do you have a local wildlife sanctuary? They may come with a humane trip and pick him up.

there has to be somethign bigger behind it

Bunz; you know it is. I mean come on now, they wait until it get out of hand please. Like back in the late 80s and 90s when they were running scams when people came to pick up things at the wharf...cho mi tiyad a it.

Isnt' that always the way? Used to make me so mad that you could call Japan for like 3 cents a minute but JA was so expensive or not included at all. Don't say world-wide if you aren't!!!!

i would be scared too Sunny...there is a dead possum on my neighbors front yard. wonder if she did that?

We had a bad experience with Vonage. They required a special internet connection with Verizon. It was not available in our area but it took them 3-4 weeks to figure it out. Meanwhile, we didn't have a house phone.

We had a good weekend. My friend called and asked if Tierra could spend the night saturday (our daughters are BFFS) so Louis and I went out. I ran into a French girl I went to college with. She had a friend who started chatting with Louis about football. I love it when Louis makes friends. So this guy (HOT!!) had this nice accent... asked where he was from. His "mum" was fast he said.... he was 1/2 english 1/2 Mauritous (spelling??) ... he has a sister that is 1/2 Jamaican and a sister that is 1/2 Lucian! LOL... said she had a preference for the darker persuation!!

I love running into fun adults while out ... and not just foolish youngins'!

How was your weekend... how are the kids getting along?

sounds like a nice time...i am just itching to go out with hubby. can't ever seem to find a sitter or someone to watch the kids. they kids are getting along great...just like they have been brother and sister forever.

Dillon - I'm happy to hear the kids are getting along. Hope you and hubby can have a date night soon. We used it go on dates every weekend now it's once a month....it's fun.

That's nice...I love it when my husband jokes around and says, you think your man will mind if I take you out this weekend...we go out at least twice a month. Most time we just have a club in our house all I can say is "JAMAICAN men and their music and sound system"

I always run into this. And then if it is included... its land lines only. In fact Time Warner would charge me 10.99 a month for unlimited land line calls... but no one has a land line! How you gonna have a landline with you dont have electricty! I mean Louis' mom uses an extension cord that comes from another house!

Bunz; a few years ago it was people using their credit/debit cards and getting scammed...I NEVER EVER use my debit card to purchase anything in Jamaica. I'll use it at the ATM though.

We had a good weekend. My friend called and asked if Tierra could spend the night saturday (our daughters are BFFS) so Louis and I went out. I ran into a French girl I went to college with. She had a friend who started chatting with Louis about football. I love it when Louis makes friends. So this guy (HOT!!) had this nice accent... asked where he was from.
