That reminds me.. We watched "Knocked Up" last night (unrated version) and I found the birth scene WAY too graphic. I commented that it makes one think twice about having a baby and having a natural birth. Watching it seemed to have the opposite effect on Steven, though. He kept rubbing my belly as if I were pregnant and talking about how "we" will have a natural birth instead of a C-section, so that when I get slim enough to wear a two-piece ( ) I won't have a scar.

No offense Nat but the two piece comment made me laugh out LOUD! I like how Steven just knows what type of delivery you are going to have. It’s funny because its like you are overdosing on BC pills and Steven is already window shopping in Babies R Us.... LOL

Nat that is why you get the epidural....no worries when you get that....

Just the intial pain of them sticking the needle in your back. Then tend to do it when your in the middle of a contraction

So what exactly is an epidural? It doesn't put you all the way under? I was hoping there was a way they can put you all the way under, then you wake up to find that the baby is born.

Poor you! U a fret ovah pain areadi...girl, they do not knock you out anymore to have a baby...lawd, that was something they did way back in they day...the only time I can see them doing that now is if there's an emergency... my c-section was an emergency, but I was wid awake and thank God for that!

maybe I'm different I never worried about that when I was pregnant...I just wanted a healthy baby.

ummm no it doesn't knock you out, it numbs you from the waiste down and believe me if done right it is the best.....no pain...nothing. girl why don't you just have someone knock you out from the day you conceive until the baby is born.

Quanna; it was so nice...no one fighting or cussing...you come donate a little food, money or beer and someone cooks...we would eat and watch dancehall videos or play cards, dominoes or ludi; if someone got sick or had a baby or a death someone cooked and helped the family out...girl, I wish it was still like that. Things have changed so much since the 90s.

my cousin said she doesn't want to live anywhere with too many jamaicans

Lawd, Bunz, some Jamaicans are like that, not all. I know some Jamaican who refuse to speak Patwah...den di damn TWANGIN get on tap a mi nerves til mi head a hat mi...I use to live in these apartments in Queens and I came home from work to find 4 massive speaker boxes at my window...lets say I didn't sleep dat night.
