mstee, please keep this in mind all parties involved are sworned in at the interview, so anything that you present at the interview is to be considered under a sworn testimorial.

I don't understand where you are going with this statement, Rox.

JG, I was answering her back regarding my statement that the Embassy, don't look at letters presented at the interview with alot of power...can't think of the right word right now. It's because they wants everything that is presented to them to be presented under the levegae of a sworn statement.

Oh, I think I get you. Are you saying it should be notarized or something of that sort?

Roxie; are you talking about her letter as to why she's unable to attend?

Tre, if it's just a why I can't attend letter, then she may be fine, but if it's anything in there about the relationship then they will prefer it to be under the sworn statement.

Okay...you know only on VJ I know of people not gettting through with the K-1 w/o the fiancee/fiance being there. Ms.tee prayers your way...

Tre, what I noticed when we went for our interview, there was no set pattern in how they were conducting the interviews. They didn't ask us for one photo, but they asked for proof of phone records, which we had. Both of us were sworn in, and inetrviewed separately. Note, we had been married almost 2 years at the time of the interview and had known each other for almost 3 years.

Yeah, they didn't ask us for any evidence, we were also interviewed separately, but my interview was more intense and longer...I did see men and getting through who were K-1 I could her the IO asking where their fiance/fiancee were and why they couldn't attend the interview...to tell you the truth, I don't remember any of them giving the IO a letter...my husband's friend was one of them...his fiancee could not attend...she had a notarized letter, but they never asked him for it.

Can't he send the money to the NVC himself? Even if he sent the money, doesn't she need to do her part and send in the affidavit of support, etc..? I think he needs to figure out what she is doing before he sends the money -
