There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

sometimes he puts me on to some songs all enthusiastic saying how good they are and i'm looking like :sleepy:

LOL I feel you girl, you couldn't tell me back in the 80's I was not the 4th member of Salt N Peppa LOL

When I met Queen Latifah in HS on my lunch break that was it I went all out for the female rappers! She was just talking in a recent interview that rap is now a male dominated genre and she is calling all the Ladies to stand up!

Wait did you watch Dancing witht he Stars?

Okay why is Edita always getting kicked off they must have a vendetta against her cause they give her thiese awful partners. she is my favorite dancer and she is always sidelined early SMH!

Wait did Macy get pissed or what  LMAO Hubby was like sh ave nuh moves guh sit dung!

PHILLYYYYYYYYYY...

me and my sister had a routine to all of salt and pepa songs

roxanne, rage w/ her afro puffs.. mc lyte.. BIG UPS to di female mc..

and thanks to vh1, my kids are BIG SALT AND PEPA fans too and they also are always singing this..

we like the cars.. the cars that go BOOM

we're tina and bonnie and we like the BOOM..

Rememba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Quana u were imitating me?? U know I’m Peppa right. Ha I was my Peppa my girl was Salt and the other was Spin. My favorite it Shake yuh thing. We went and cut up our jeans and wrote on them. I wore them jeans a good five minutes before my momma snatched them off me and beat me with them. She was mad azz Hell I did the to them and she thought I was trying to be fass. She wear I get my discipline tactics from… LOL

That's my part of town JAp

3 months to go ( doing the cabbage patch)

Philly, I thought your part was Kingston. You know Hanover?? (Have we already gone over this & I'm just a space cadet??)

Future professional dancer there!

Hi everyone.

I am very sad because my husband found out this morning that his mother passed away. He is on a plane right now on his way back to Jamaica. The saddest part about it is that he had a ticket to go down for a week on monday. He was just five days short of seeing his mother one last time.

She had been sick with headaches and dizzy spells, but nobody thought she was on her deathbed. She was only 51 years old. I still don't know what she died from.

So, my question is...what should I do? I want to go down and be there for him, but the money just isn't there. I don't have any experience with Jamaican funerals or customs.

I'm so sorry Acrow. Prayers for you, your hubby & his family! (F)(L)

I say badger them to get citizenship..God forbid they are in the wrong place at the wrong time and end up i a bad situation...here comes the possibility of deportation..and what are u left with at that point? just think about it guys...

Good point! Lehi wants citizenship to someday bring over his Mom so that is just one more added benefit.

I think I will encourage A to do it...because I don't like the fact that as a permanent resident, they can still be deported. No one wants to think that something bad might happen..but I don't like thinking that my husband of twenty odd years can be taken away on a technicality.

The good thing is that Jamaica is a country that will recognize dual citizenship. I want to get my Jamaican citizenship this time around. I just never got around to it with my last marriage.

:ot:

I had a small disagreement with A because his sister posted some pics of them dropping their other sister off at the airport, and I noticed that A didn't have his wedding band on. I didn't agrue or yell at him, but he knew I was upset because he can automatically sense my moods. He told his sister about it because she overheard him talking to me about it. He apologized and told me that he just forgot to put it on that day. Well, his sister sent me a message on FB telling me that she understands my point but not to be mad at him. She said that he is taking me being upset about it very hard...that he can't stop talking about me and he loves me so much. She asked me not to be mad at him because she forgets to put her rings on all the time. Then, she told me that she has my back because she believes in our love 1000%.

I'm upset because A NEVER put his ring on with his ex-wife...and he told me it was because he didn't love her. Am I making too big a deal out of this? He said he will just get in the habit of putting it on before his other jewelry...so he doesn't forget. I'm still upset. On the other hand, I feel like I am sweating the small stuff. The symbolism of the ring is important to me...even though I know it won't stop a man or woman from doing what they want to do. How do you guys feel about the wearing of the wedding band?:unsure:

Everyone has chimed in but I have to say, try not to feel a way. I just LOST my ring for a week & hubby found it yesterday in the laundry basket. Neither of us are used to wearing rings & even now it's not comfortable for me or him. I take it off throughout the day depending on what I'm doing. I don't feel bad if he's not wearing his & he doesn't feel bad if I'm not wearing mine. We understand that because neither of us are big 'bling' people. The only funny thing is, when I thought I lost the ring & didn't have the option to wear it, I really missed it. Since he found it yesterday, I'm going to try & wear it every day but still may not. The ring has nothing to do with how we feel about each other or how solid we are at that moment.

I can see you being a upset though since he had all the other bling on. I'd wonder why too but seriously, that man loves you to pieces so you have nothing to worry even a little about.

Jawi..i can uderstand ur point...BUT for me it's not a big deal..a ring is just a ring is just a ring it's for society i think..kashi wears his most of the time same me...I know for me i forget..also when i get hot my fingers swell and the ring starts to feel contricting..so there goes it..as soon as i get i nthe house or comfy somewhere they are off...

Same here!

Nat you manage to eat things I didn't even know existed. I guess I'm pretty unadventurous when he comes to my food too. I actually don't even like the taste of food. I have my favorite Jamaican dishes...and I've got to have my crab legs. I have only had small bites and nibbles of food since August. People don't understand why I'm bigger because I don't eat...but I think my metabolism slowed down a lot after having the boys...so it caught up with me. Jonesie and A are always asking me if I ate because I will go days at a time without eating anything.

That's not good Jawi because your body moves into starvation mode and any time you eat food it packs it away thinking it won't get more anytime soon. You need to eat little meals and healthy snacks all day long - you need to stay strong to heal that body back up!

:yes::yes: She's right Jawi!

True test will be when we go to Vegas on 10/28 - Nov 2

Congrats on the new man Mon! You go girl!

But OOOHHH....Vegas in Halloween! FUN!!! I've done that...I'd do it again!:thumbs:
