Hi everyone.

I am very sad because my husband found out this morning that his mother passed away. He is on a plane right now on his way back to Jamaica. The saddest part about it is that he had a ticket to go down for a week on monday. He was just five days short of seeing his mother one last time.

She had been sick with headaches and dizzy spells, but nobody thought she was on her deathbed. She was only 51 years old. I still don't know what she died from.

So, my question is...what should I do? I want to go down and be there for him, but the money just isn't there. I don't have any experience with Jamaican funerals or customs.

Sorry for your loss!

:o ie gone again FINESSE... :crying::crying::rofl::rofl:

jamerican!!!! how was it leaving yaad??? did u feel like u could live there???

It felt like it was just enough time....I never had those moments that we often have when there for a week or so and I say "wow, I will be leaving in x days" It was ok leaving because I knew that once getting home I had work to do! I have never wanted to live in Jamaica full time because I do like living in the US. I have always wanted to be able to live part time (3-4 months) there, and that feeling is still there.

I feel the same way

I am a Mariah Stan to the end but that video for obsessed was str8 up Wack!!!!! I could see where she was going about Eminem and whatnot but the posing and flailing was a mess.

I don't know who her stylist is but they need to be fired  they are too short and too tight hot mess. That's my girl though I still can't get enough LOL

I think I will encourage A to do it...because I don't like the fact that as a permanent resident, they can still be deported. No one wants to think that something bad might happen..but I don't like thinking that my husband of twenty odd years can be taken away on a technicality.

The good thing is that Jamaica is a country that will recognize dual citizenship. I want to get my Jamaican citizenship this time around. I just never got around to it with my last marriage.

:ot:

I had a small disagreement with A because his sister posted some pics of them dropping their other sister off at the airport, and I noticed that A didn't have his wedding band on. I didn't agrue or yell at him, but he knew I was upset because he can automatically sense my moods. He told his sister about it because she overheard him talking to me about it. He apologized and told me that he just forgot to put it on that day. Well, his sister sent me a message on FB telling me that she understands my point but not to be mad at him. She said that he is taking me being upset about it very hard...that he can't stop talking about me and he loves me so much. She asked me not to be mad at him because she forgets to put her rings on all the time. Then, she told me that she has my back because she believes in our love 1000%.

I'm upset because A NEVER put his ring on with his ex-wife...and he told me it was because he didn't love her. Am I making too big a deal out of this? He said he will just get in the habit of putting it on before his other jewelry...so he doesn't forget. I'm still upset. On the other hand, I feel like I am sweating the small stuff. The symbolism of the ring is important to me...even though I know it won't stop a man or woman from doing what they want to do. How do you guys feel about the wearing of the wedding band?:unsure:

I believe the wedding band is important as well, but I wouldn't be too upset. I forget to wear my engagement ring sometimes. I think our lives are so busy sometimes we forget little things mean alot. Don't be upset Jawi. It's not good for your health sis!
