I applied for AOS for my parents. how should i know that I-130 is approved and then I-485 is approved? I think I-485 is approved after interview then somebody told me that USCIS never call parents for interview. so what is the exact process?

curious to know.

You still have months before you can worry about I-130/I-485 approval. I am not sure about not calling parents for an interview. I think it depends case to case. You will receive NOA2's(Approval letters) for I-130/I485 when approved, in mail. Also, if you have registered online, you will receive online updates when cases are approved. Approval of I-130 does not guarantee approval of I-485, but if I-485 is approved first, the I-130 is considered approved. In my case My I-130 was approved before the I-485 interview and in 6 months.

Good Luck Richa.
