Hi!

My H1B visa expired recently and I am waiting for my GC through AOS. In the meantime, I would like to know if it´s possible to apply for an ID without a visa. I was wondering because my previous ID expired the same dat as my visa so I don´t know why kind of documents should I bring with me in order to show that I am legal here.

You are presumably talking about a State ID - it varies by state, but many will need to see either the EAD or PR/Green Card - check your state for specifics.

You are presumably talking about a State ID - it varies by state, but many will need to see either the EAD or PR/Green Card - check your state for specifics.

Some states will accept the NOA1 (Notice of Receipt) for the I-485 AOS application. You'll need to check your state's specific documentary requirements.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

So I called them and they said I just need my old expired ID and my SS number :thumbs:
