September 2009 AOS Filers

I also did the biometrics on Oct 23 (exact day not early walk-in). Until now I heard nothing. Online case status of EAD and I-485 were touched on both 23rd and 26th. But I-130 still doesn't show up on case status. It says the case number cannot be found. Not sure if it's because my husband is a AWA peititioner and USCIS might be treating that differently....But for EAD I won't be too worried until after Christmas, which is 3 months after i received those first NOAs...I read that some VJ users got their EAD only 2 weeks after the biometrics and I really envy them. But since my case is complicated, I would not be surprised if they don't give me anything by Christmas...

Alice, you are right. I have been following your case for sometime because we are both on B2 and files almost the same time, Just that you did Bio earlier before me. You will hear from them this week I think and they will get back to me next week.

Hurray! I got a mail that my case is transferred to National Benefit center and I can Expect interview letter soon plus e-mail that MY CARD HAS BEEN ORDERED TODAY...JUST GOT THE UPDATE NOW,

I have good news today. Received an email update from USCIS dated today 4:45pm that my EAD status is "card production ordered" and please allow 30 days to receive the card. When I checked my email tonight I screamed hard because I am so happy I finally can get to work soon! Plus I am surprised that they approved my EAD just 17 days after I had my biometrics even though my husband's petition falls under AWA. There is still no status change for my I-485 and no case status be found for the I-130. But the EAD is a good start and I am gonna update my timeline now!

Hey Pals, my EAD online status touched agian on Nov 10th after "card production ordered" on 9th. It made me a little nervous........hope they did not approve my application by mistake?

Alice, my EAD app was approved 46 days after NOA1 (28th Sep) according to "Sep filers spreadsheet" and i saw that mine took the longest time to approve among other Sep filers. Average approving time for all Sep filers (on spreadsheet) is 35 days. Although you did biometrics early, if you count it from the day after you received your NOA, your EAD would likely to be approved between 9th Nov and Max 20th Nov (if they really stretch it to 46 days like my case). So don't worry and but I understand feeling anxious about this cause I was feeling the same!

Just curious, when you put your case number at the lookup on the USCIS for case status, does it show any updated information there? Congrats also, when and where is your Interview? My folks did their biometrics on the 28th of OCT and we still haven't heard or recieved anything.

Hi Wubzywub, My interview is in Chicago. My status hasn't changed yet on the website as for the I-485 but I received notification for I-765 that it has been ordered for production. I hope your folks will have some progress soon.
