got my NOA's yesterday dated 09/28 AS WELL..

[07/15/07 Met RG on vacation in Jamaica

07/27/09 He proposes on one of his visits here

08/07/09 We are married!!!!!

AOS from B2 visa

09/03/09 Completed medical.. all clear!!

09/21/09 Sent off I130, I485, I131, I765.. YAYYYYYY[/color]

09/23/09 package received

09/28/2009 all 4 NOA's printed (received on OCT 1ST)

09/30/09 checks cashed!

10/05/09 receive biometrics appt for 10/28/2009

10/13/09 walk in biometrics.. !

10/26/2009 receive interview letter for NOV 30th 11:30!!!! PRAISE GOD!

11/06/2009 receive advance parole papers.. no email, no updates beforehand..

11/16/2009 After 2 WEEKS of checking the mail thinking the EAD and AP come about the same time, we get the "card production ordered" email for the EAD.. better late than never.. thank you LORD!!!

11/19/2009 receive another email stating "card production ordered"

11/23/2009 receive EAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11/30/2009 bittersweet interview, but WE ARE APPROVED

12/02/09 social security card in mail

12/04/09 receive "welcome" letter in mail

Hello all,

I am new here- I wish I had found this forum several months ago. We just sent my AOS package (I-130, I-485 w/ the works, I-765, I-131) on 9/29 and it was delivered yesterday. Would make me an October filer on this forum? If so, feel free to move my post to an Oct thread. I just think it's helpful to be able to compare my progress with others.

Obviously, no NOA yet. Let the waiting commence :wacko: .

VJ is so helpful, but sounds like u got it together so now we can all just lean on each others shoulders during this waiting!!

most likely u will be october filer but feel free to stick around..

Hi September filers,

We filed our big, bulky package on the 10th (the day my visa expired! after an all nighter at kinkos) and so far everything has gone smoothly and quickly. I just did an early walk in on my biometrics appointment by ten days - not sure if that speeds anything up or not but I really wanted to get it out of the way. Other than that now its just a wait for the EAD (much needed!) and the interview letter!

06/12/2009 - Arrived on VWP for holiday to see Ben!

08/01/2009 - Got engaged in California

08/22/2009 - Married in our home town Las Vegas, NV

09/10/2009 - VWP expires/spend all night at kinkos putting package together

09/10/2009 - Send package via USPS priority certified mail with return reciept (Day 1)

09/13/2009 - Package recieved in Chicago Day 3)

09/21/2009 - Cheque's chashed by USCIS (Day 11)

09/22/2009 - NOA's recieved (Day 12)

09/25/2009 - Biometrics appointment recieved (for October 13th) (Day 15)

10/03/2009 - Biometrics completed early by walk in (Day 23)

10/19/2009 - Interview letter recieved. Date set for 16th November! (Day 39)

10/23/2009 - EAD card production ordered! finally!!! (Day 43)

10/31/2009 - My first halloween and EAD card arrived in the mail!!!!!!!!! Finally!!! (Day 51)

10/02/2009 - Applied for SSN (Day 53)

10/07/2009 - Recieved SSN in the mail (Day 57)

10/16/2009 - Interview at 10:30am (Approved!!!!!) (Day 66!!!)

Does anyone know if it possible to expedite an EAD? My H1B visa expires next week and I am scared I wont get my EAD before it expires. Any insight on the topic would be helpful.

The timeline:

10/16/03 Moved to US on H1B (good for 3 years)

08/24/06 Second H1B (good for another 3 years)

07/01/07 Met husband

07/27/08 Engaged

03/14/09 Married- snowy, winter wedding in Vermont!

08/31/09 I-485, I-130, I-765 & I-131 received at lockbox in Chicago

09/14/09 Biometrics Appointment received (Appointment for 10/7/2009)

I am on the same boat as you are. I am currently on H-1B which expires late November, I just sent my application in this morning. I know it takes about 60 - 90 days to get an EAD from the time you receive NOA. I know I can't be much help yet, but I hope we can emotionally support each other on VJ!! I talked to my company's attorney and she said that I have to take leave of absense if I don't receive EAD by the visa expiration date. At this point, I will probably have to take a month or so off from work.

Anyway, hope your EAD will come soon, looks like everything is going smooth so far :star:

2003 Graduated college and found a job - switched to H-1B from F1

2006 H-1B renewed

2007 Switched job, H-1B transferred to a new employer

2009 Engaged

Hello fellow September AOS Filers! :)

Just popping over from the K1/K3 forum and since we're all in the same boat together and trying to achieve the same thing I think it would be great if I added all of you in this thread to the spreadsheet I've created for September filers.

I will have to create an additional column to distinguish whether you are adjusting from a K1/K3/H1-B/VWP etc etc but that would only take a few mins to do.

If you want a look at the spreadsheet I've created the link is in my signature, if you have a google account you may have to sign in first. Any feedback or improvements on the sheet would be most appreciated. Thanks :)

i dont think its possible to expedite the EAD BUT u can always post the question and see if there are any chances!!

if it helps any.. i saw two sept filers get approved for EAD on the 1st.. looks like u also sent ur documentation towards the beginning of the mnth so maybe u will get ur soon!

I heard that they are taking 40 days or so to process. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesnt take 90 days for us. My work hasnt mentioned it to me yet. I am going to see if I can request that they expedite it since I cant afford to take a month leave of absence.
