Update: received letter from USCIS today saying interview on 17th is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.........what a Xmas gift from them....

Got my GC card production ordered e-mail this morning!!!!!! I think I may have to camp outside next to our mailbox LOL!

Thisislove, congrats on the welcome letter, we haven't received ours yet, wonder who will receive the GC first LOL!

For everybody who is still in the process or is starting soon, goodluck! It took us less than 3 months, without a lawyer. If your marriage is 'bonafide' you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

For those of you interviewing in Baltimore, in general they will not make a decision on the day of your interview (I've been reading many forums, websites etc the last couple of days and many 'adjusters' posted that they had to wait for the decision), so don't worry if the IO tells you after the interview he/she will review your file and let you know about the decision in 6 weeks (as long as your case is not fraudulent of course LOL!).

Feb 2009 Married!

alice!!! im so glad that you got some information!!! menaxoxo, im sure you will hear something soon, some cases seem to be taking longer than others.. pls tell me you have at least gotten your ead by now..

we didn't have anything but, verification that my husband is on my health insurance and pictures

but we made it..

hubby got his ssn and the "WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES" letter last week!!!

Tynhi, goodluck with the interview! I don't know whether you will read this post before you actually have the interview, but here are my 2 cents: I read on another discussion that the thing they like the most is co-mingling of your finances, so joint bankstatements, joint lease, joint car etc, which is exactly what you have! Last it's important to bring the original for everything you have submitted with your initial application. Let us know about your interview experience!

hey 1LUVv, i called customer service the other day. the lady said i have to wait till the 16th to call them back if i still haven't received my EAD by then. the status says they mailed me the approval notice on november 16th...i guess all i can do now is just wait. it sucks.

We arrived at 9 and we got called and we swore in before we sat down. She went through our documents and she asked my husband (USC) questions like, birthday and mine, street address, work etc.

Then she asked me and abt my divorce then questions like how did we meet, what do we like to do together and common interest.

She then looked at my folder with all our bona fide evidence and she took copies of our join car insurance, bank accounts and phone bill.

After that she said congratulations you'll receive your GC within the next 3 weeks.

Pretty much straight forward and simple but it was nerve wrecking >_<.

My husband's family is originally from India, so beginning of January we are going to have a big Indian wedding in Dubai (where his parents live). I am really looking forward to the wedding, but here's the thing: I have not received my green card.... and I'm leaving next week. I was planning on scheduling an infopass to just get the i-551 stamp, but guess what? My field office currently is not scheduling any appointments!!!!

So I called the USCIS and explained to the lady that I couldn't get an Infopass appointment, and that I do not really want to cancel my own wedding and she told me: I have no additional information, you should check the border patrol website.......Thanks!

Does anybody know how often the Infopass schedule gets updated? Is it worth to keep checking the website every hour, or once a day is enough?

Anyway, hopefully I'll receive my GC in the mail before I leave, keeping my fingers crossed!
