DOS has informed us on four separate occasions (so I know they are not lying this time) that the US Embassy in London has requested a new DS-157 form for my fiance. We sent one back before his interview (Feb 2009). Why would they ask for a new DS-157 4 months and 6 days after he was put on AP. Is this a type of form where they want updated information before deciding on his application? I thought that the AP was done based on all the forms he gave, DS-230 Part I, DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-157. Maybe they lost the first one we sent them?

The only thing worrying me right now is that why would they request a new DS-157 from my fiance after so long of being put on AP. I am under the impression that the Admin Processing is done BASED on the info on these forms including the DS-157.

Anyone have a similar experience of embassy requesting a new DS-157? Or anyone have any ideas as to why the embassy would ask for a new DS-157 from my fiance after so long?

I am not complaining, I am glad that they are working on his case. I am just confused on the nature of the matter...I have heard of embassy asking for new police certificates and medicals while someone is on AP, but never a new DS-157 form, a form that is required before the interview.

Thanks in advance for all ideas, comments!
