I have a question I am asking for a good friend. He is US citizen, she is PR of Singapore but citizen of China. Can they marry in China anywhere or does it have to be in her hometown? They talked of marry in Guangzhou, she is from the far north.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

My wife and I were married in China, but not in her home town. I don't think it is a requirement.

You can marry in China but if she ever wants to come to america Guangzhou is one of the hardest places to pass an interview you might want to check out www.candleforlove.com and consult with them.

your fiancee needs to go to her hukou hometown to get her certificate of marriageability anyway, and should involve her family in the wedding. in some provinces marriage to a foreigner needs to be registered in the province capital, rather than in the hometown.

They can be married anywhere they want to.

They still have to be married here in the state

and county he lives in, if she is coming here.

We thought about it but we found out it would

not matter as far as uscis is concerned. GZ is

tough yes but only if they have complications.

That should be already known by them.
