I found out that they put her on AP, any recommnadation, is there any way to follow up on this case with any one?

Hello-

AP is very common amongst Middle Eastern countries. It could take a day, months or over a year. There is just no way to know. Many of us here are in AP- come longer than others. Sorry for the downer! You can contact the Embassy or DOS (202-663-1225) to see if you can find out anything, but so far, I haven't received any information from them besides what I already knew ("still in AP") . It is frustrating, maddening and you feel so out of control- this is the joy of AP.

From what I understand AP is where they are doing some more checking- could be a paper; could be a name-check; could be anything... The lucky ones get out within a month.
