They never asked for my list, I never produced it lol :(

They also were not interested in the fact that my fiances car was full of stuff, and they said if he wanted, he didn't have to wait for me....lol...

3299 is the form your parents will need, along with a copy of your VISA, and YOUR I-94.... the I-94 is important to show you have crossed prior to them.

When I was researching movers, they all said they needed all of these 3 and that the I-94 was most important. Just scan and email it to them after you cross. that's what I did :)

I know people that have shipped goods long after their move and activation of visa's have had to send a copy of their visa and I-94 to the Border to have good released without taxation. So, after you've activated your visa, you could fax or mail a copy of your visa to your parents..I think this is just to prove that your goods aren't preceding you. There is something somewhere that also says that you have up to 10 years to import your goods duty free as well, but I can't find the link to that.
