I'm still lost on building a good credit.

I'm using a Visa credit card from a bank in my country, i will still use it until I get my citizenship. If i want to start the new credit in US, will they look at my credit history in my credit card i'm using now? If yes, what should i ask from my bank so i can have my credit history's proofs?

It doesn't work like that. What happens in your country stays in your country. :-)

You don't really report anything. The credit score companies track it. They track your credit activity i.e. Loans, cc, retail cards, and requests for credit lines. You should be using credit cards tied to your SSN. The card from your country isn't.

I got a job as soon as I applied. I opened a savings account of my own. One month later I went to Best Buys and applied for their store credit card and was denied. 2 days later I went to Wal Mart to enquire and was told to apply online. i applied online and right away i was given $300 credit. I always shop at Wal Mart and using that card came very easy. I would rack up close to $300 and when the bill came I pay the total off. I did that for a few months and got an increase of $1000 credit. I applied at Khols and got credit $800. I recently received a Discover credit card in the mail. i applied yesterday. If I am granted $200 credit I will take it, I am using those small steps to accomplish what I need which is Good Credit. As soon as you get approved it seem like your information gets out there and you are flooded with junk mail. I won't take advantage most of them I will toss in the trash when it come. hope my information helped. Start small and climb.
