I called the NVC yesterday and apparently there is no record of my case.. which means they dont have my case sent over from USCIS yet. We had our I-130 approved on the 29th June.. Any ideas how long it takes to get a case number and then get the first of the packets??

Wish things would go faster!! :

Becca, we're at the same boat. Nothing known yet. After request to CSC they told us to wait for a month after NOA2 date. Here is a copy of their reply:

You can phone National; Visa Center public number 1-603-334-0700 to see

if the petition has been received. It takes a month from date of approval for this to occur as the petitions are sent in truck loads and must be put on NVC system.

Thanks,

Good luck to you! We're still waiting as well. What's your Service center?

Becca,

It will be at the NVC soon. The average time is between 7-15 days from the approval to NVC.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
