Name in passport and visa won't match AP/Green card on honeymoon?

My fiance and I will be getting married next June, all going well with our K1 application. We wont be taking a proper honeymoon until Spring 2011 because of all the costs we've had to come up with lately with moving, the visa, moving our doggie, the wedding etc... (and besides that'll be a nice way to celebrate our 1 anniversary of marriage anyway!)

But, I am wondering what do do about the mismatch of names on my documents. We'll be applying for AOS, the AP & the EAD after we marry at the beggining of July next year and don't know how long it will take to recieve the green card, but I assume when we go away on our honeymoon I'll at least have the AP. Well, my passport doesn't expire until 2013, so I don't want to replace it yet, but the name on it will be my maiden name, as will the K1 visa, but the name on my Green card (if we have it by then) or the AP will have my married name on. What should we do in this instance? Carry a copy of our marriage certificate at POE? Or do I have to apply for a new passport in my new name?

Also, what names should we book oour flight tickets in? I know your passport HAS to match the name booked on the flight...

Thanks everyone

You book your flights in the name which matches your passport. My GC is in my married name and my passport is in my former name. I travel with my marriage certificate but I have never once been asked to provide it. A swipe of the GC brings up all the information they have on you, anyway. As for the AP, they issued that in my former name to match my passport, though I have seen others have it issued in their married names. It doesn't appear to present a problem. In any event, the immigration trail is all at their fingertips. They know who you are. :)

Moving this from the UK forum to the Working & Traveling forum.
