Timeline

Here is a list of upgrades I have made so far:

1. Timeline Images generated for Admin Review time (recently added timeline data field) for all visa categories (not enough data for great graphs yet but the code and images are there)

2. Estimated Approval Dates for I-130s now use RFE data (recently added timeline data field) to calculate an improved estimated approval date

3. Minor improvement in K3 RFE estimated time in estimated appproval dates

4. Timeline profile page now indicates if a timeline is "linked" to another member and gives a link to that members account

5. Better Definition and Additional Family Based Immigration Visa Categories added:

  • K-1 Visa (Fiance of US Citizen)
  • K-3 Visa (Spouse of US Citizen)
  • IR-1/CR-1 Visa (Spouse of US Citizen)
  • IR-2 Visa (Unmarried child of US Citizen under age 21)
  • IR-3 Visa (Orphan adoped abroad of US Citizen)
  • IR-4 Visa (Orphan adoped within the US of US Citizen)
  • IR-5 Visa (Parent of US Citizen at least age 21)
  • F-1 Visa (Unmarried child - and their children - of US Citizen)
  • F-2 Visa (Spouses, minor children, and unmarried children - over age 20 - of a LPR)
  • F-3 Visa (Married sons and daughters of US citizens, and their spouses and children)
  • F-4 Visa (Siblings of US citizens - age 21 or older - and their spouses and children)
  • Other (Entered on non-immigrant visa; married US Citizen; Filing for Adjustment of Status within the US)

6. Timeline Profile Page accommodates above new visa categories

7. Timeline Profile Page has I-130 RFE Received and Sent Dates now

8. Timeline Profile Page has Interview 1 Result (Approved, Denied, Administrative Review), Interview 2 Date, Interview 2 Result (Approved, Denied)

more to come based on your feedback and my digging in the code :P.

Random Timeline Data thoughts (no particular order):

Separating the stage(s) for K-1 (for example) into separate 'phases' (more visual than anything else).

Petition Phase

Service Center : California Service Center

I-129F Sent : 2009-xx-xx

I-129F NOA1 : 2009-xx-xx

I-129F RFE(s) :

RFE Reply(s) :

I-129F NOA2 :

NVC Stage (purely optional)

NVC Received :

NVC Left : 2009-xx-xx

(With perhaps a "Current Received/Left" Trend field (optional but I presume the data is captured or can be calculated.) Example: 'Current NVC Trend is 14 Days (between received and sent)...'

Embassy/Consulate Interview Phase

Consulate :

Consulate Received :

Packet 3 Received :

Packet 3 Sent :

Packet 4 Received :

Interview Date :

Visa Received :

(With perhaps a "Current Received/Interview Scheduled" Trend field (also optional but I presume the data is captured or can be calculated.) Example: 'Current Embassy/Consulate Trend is 31 Days (between received and actual interview)...'

Optional Field added for interview stage(s) - AP/AR; it would be nice to see first IF a particular Embassy/Consulate tends to do Additional Processing (or Administrative Processing) and secondly how long that trend is (if any).

Told you it was random. :innocent:

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I currently have 4 petitions out there

1. Hubby ROC

2. First son waiting to apply ROC

3. Second son waiting to apply ROC

4. Third son Petitioned as Child of an LPR.

All I can place under y account is the hubby. Could there be something for say those still in the process that have other children in the process while the original oetitioned person is still in process?

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

**bump** I know there are also filers who hve a petition for their SO ( here in the US ) and the children from out of the country. I think more and more people are bringing the kids later or after the initial visa say on the K1 kids follow to join and apply for the GC after the parent.

I could allow several timelines to be associated with a member. If a member has two or more then they would be presented with a list of petitions that people can view (versus if they have only one).

Each member in their profile now have a checklist of all major milestones until they can become a US Citizen. The checklist is tailored to their visa type and items are checked off as the member completes them...

Those are HUGE, si man. Do you think that their size & prominence will make people more aware of the need to update their timelines?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Lol. I am on a little laptop with a 1600x900 resolution (13" screen) so it is hard for me to tell. I had the feeling on most monitors they may be :P. I can reduce their size and maybe they will look better? How much smaller do you think?

i would also like to see a field added for attorney used or not i know that we can not name the attorney but it would be nice to see how many people used attorneys and if their cases took longer, with in normal time frame, or faster.
