Just to add to Rosie and my dealings with the AOS process.

Everything went well witth Rosies K-1 VISA but now for the AOS things are a little more stressful.

As I stated that they have transfered our AOS 3 time from LEE SUMMIT MO to CSC (calif).

yesterday after posting that fact .. another Transfer Rosie called me to tell me that Agents came to the house

to talk to her. They left their card and so I went home from work to talk to my wife to see what was said and then call the AGENT. Funny they were from the Social Security Investigation Branch not USICS immigration.

So anyway some of the question where strange and other were above broad and expected.

They told my wife that I had brought a THIA girl into the U.S. and gave her the girls name (note this was false)

My wife responded by saying we all have a past and TOGETHER we have only concerned with our future together.

She did not remember the Name of the Lady they GAVE HER.

ANYWAY .. they asked if our relationship was conditional and that for favors I did things for her. Rosie said she loved me and I love her and that I was a very good husband.

They asked if we were married... STRANGE we changed her SSNO Name to my last name after being married and I thought it strange they did NOT have knowledge of that.

So after talking to my wife ... I first said "Honey in the future call me if anyone comes to the DOOR .. have your Cell phone with you at all times ...strange things go on in this world and I love youa and want you to be safe"

With that I call the Agent in hopes of talking to him (THEM) there was two at the hous.

I ask why they interviewed my wife .. and that I came home worried worst thing they were not real agents and that my wife was not safe. After the Vietnamese Girl al YALE you never know.

Their answer was "THE AGE DIFFERENCE" and was it a marriage, or was it a shame.

I said I loved my wife very much and I understood their doubt and except their concerns.

THEN I ASKED ABOUT THEM TELLING MY WIFE 'I BROUGHT ANOTHER THIA WOMEN TO AMERICA'.

My wife was next to me this whole conversation. The Agent DENIED that he said that and said he asked her

"DID SHE KNOW IF I had ever brought a THIA lady into the U.S.A.'.

I told them I have never brought anyone other then my wife to the STATES. Quote unquote.

We leave it at that and I hung up.

My wife is now very very stressed out and worried about her Green Card.

I told her not to worry about loosing me .. and that if worse comes to worse we would just have to get a IMMIGRATION LAWYER to deal with any problems. She is here now and we are doing nothing wrong and love each other very much.

I don't know about the other FILIPINAS but my wife easily cries .. I hate to see her cry and I hate to have anyone make her feel bad even me.

My wife is my life ... I retire early in 4 months and we have a Beautiful BLESSED life together.

This is just to keep everyone informed

GOD BLESS ALL

Rosie and David

single 15 years married 5 months ....now I know what peaks and valleys are in life. LOVE my wife hehehe

it sounds like you did exactly what you should do in such circumstance. the inspectors were just doing their jobs protecting the process. i would guess that your ap was sent to MO and deferred to CSC as approvable without interview, but was returned to Mo when the age difference was noted. it was then returned to CSC, so this prolly means that it will be approved without interview after all.

age difference is a valid reason for inspection. lots of fraud goes on in the K1 process. we see it here often enough if we can read between the lines. age difference can be an indicator, especially if it is considered outside the cultural norm, such as when a young middle eastern man marries an older US woman who already has children and is beyond child bearing age. in such cases immigration intent seems to be the only reason for the K1.

in case of older US men marrying young asian women it's a lot cloudier. in asia many young women are marrying older men and it is within the edge of the societal norm. my chinese wife is 18 years younger than me, but age difference like this can happen in china. pinay wives also sometimes choose older, succesful phils men. USCIS understands that in china and south east asia women are expected to evaluate economic and social standing in selection of a mate. they understand that the relationship ideal is of an entirely different nature in this case, with asian women valuing protection and paternal guidance ability in a husband. they understand that love to asian women involves respect for the husband and caretaking behaviours by the husband.

this is what rankles US women so much about guys like you and me, though i assume you are closer to 40 years age gap. we have a relationship they cannot offer us that is based in an entirely different kind of love. we are already freestanding, and have the need to nurture and be recognised for our accomplishment. our wives have the need to admire and respect, and express love by watching out for what remains of our future.

whatever you do, don't drop the ball in regard to keeping her respect. always have the answer, even if it's not 100% right at the moment. always have the confidence in yourself that she needs to see to have confidence in you. never find yourself in a position from which you have to compel her respect. if this happens with an asian woman, you are done.

good luck in your marriage. may it endure for many years.

eh? How would they find out if people are truely living together if they give them a "heads up" they are coming?

You can ask for ID (badges/photo) - you can then call in to the office (police, USCIS, etc) - and ask if they are for real.

Real agents would have no problem allowing you to do this (it's the law after all), fake ones, would probably take off.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

They do not have to let you know first, BUT under NO circumstances let them into the house without a warrant. You do not have to answer their questions either. I would offer to meet them at their office and schedule a time with them to do that. That is ALL

hey excuse me here but not all middle eastern men who marry older women are out for the visa ok? i seen alot of women from asia who do this and other countrys as well, good and bad in all countrys, not one place all good or all bad, my husband is egyptian and even in egypt i seen older women married to younger men and vise versa, you can find good and bad in all countrys ok ive been with my husband for 3 yrs, married 1 year and were just now starting our visa journey, so if all he wanted was the visa he could have marrried a woman so easily from another country or wherever and would have been there already, im sorry i dont mean to sound rude but when i hear ppl saying these things it makes it hard for people like us who do in fact truely love each other,,, to get it in the counselors head that we love each other,,, cause they want to think fraud only, they dont know our minds our hearts or our lives, so when u got a husband like mine who is involved with me and involved with his kids, thier school, teachers, my drs, my everyting in each day of our lives doing all things to be a good husband,,,,, goes to his interview and lady goes ,, well sorry its fraud cause u to young for her????? this truely hurts,,, judge a person on thier own merit not thier age, sorry again im not madd at u or anyone just frustated, have a nice day
