Don't know how many West Australian's there are immigrating to the USA ... BUT ... be warned that local police stations no longer undertake fingerprinting for the Australian Federal Police clearance required in the DS230. The Australian Federal Police in Western Australia are currently taken interviews for fingerprinting in NOVEMBER so book ahead.

Hi guys, I've not posted before, but we have learnt heaps from VJ and other people's experiences and applied them in our visa process. So thank you for this great site! We are now at the stage of collecting documents for Packet 3. It's a good time to post with the above warning since we also got caught by the Australian Federal Police clearance application issue. We almost missed this part and found out it was a 2 to 3 month wait for appointments. We were lucky to get in earlier than expected before all the appointments were taken. Australian Federal Police are the only people doing the fingerprinting for all police clearances that require police clearance and fingerprint check in Western Australia, as police stations in WA will not do them. So better safe than sorry to schedule an appointment asap for anything, yes that includes medicals too. Cheers Matt and Karen.

No problem mate, it's what VJ is all about, picking up as much as you can to help yourself and hopefully anything that is important gets out to those that need the advice. :)
